What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 7 Results

Matt Ryan

Highest Potential Bid: $8.00

Break-Even Point: 18

Ryan looked solid last week, scoring 18.44 fantasy points against the Miami Dolphins. He didn’t hit value, though, as he finished 33rd on the slate. Each of his shares ended worth $5.17, losing $2.83 per share.

Ja’Marr Chase

Highest Potential Bid: $7.25

Break-Even Point: 21

Chase performed better than expected, finishing second in the market in fantasy points. He scored 40.1, falling only 0.5 FP short of Cooper Kupp. He ended the slate being worth $20, and we ended the week profiting $12.75 per share.

With Chase playing at an elite level, we’d have profited $9.92 per equal shares of him and Ryan last week. With that being said, Chase only cost $5.01 during the IPO, while Ryan cost $6.70. In other words, we’d have profited $13.69 per equal shares of them if you purchased during the IPO.

Week 8 Buys

Trevor Lawrence

Highest Potential Bid: $6.50

Break-Even Point: 25

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Lawrence recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $6.50 per share for Lawrence. He needs to finish 25th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of Lawrence at $6.50 and he finishes 25th in this field, I make my $6.50 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $18.50). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $5.50). It’s that simple.

Once again, wide receivers led the way on Jock MKT last week. They held 6 of the top 10 slots, including first through fourth. We also had a pair of quarterbacks and a pair of running backs fill out the top 10.

Lawrence hasn’t enjoyed a great rookie season, but he’s flashed at times. Through 6 games, he’s thrown for 1,465 yards with 7 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. More importantly, he’s added 121 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground, increasing his floor on a weekly basis.

Lawrence gets an ideal matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. They’re allowing 280.6 passing yards per game with 11 passing touchdowns (4.1% touchdown rate) this season. They’re also allowing 8.1 adjusted yards per attempt in 2021.

Seattle’s given up the fourth-most airYAC (2,046) in the NFL this season. They’ve struggled in terms of both air yards (1,093) and YAC (953), allowing the sixth-most of both categories this season.

Lawrence’s flashed at times this season, scoring 19+ fantasy points in 3 of his 6 games this season. He’s thrown more than 1 touchdown in only 1 game this season, though, suggesting he comes with more upside than he’s shown thus far. Lawrence is coming off of a bye, and he could take a step forward with extra time to prepare for this weekend.

Courtland Sutton

Highest Potential Bid: $5.50

Break-Even Point: 31

Sutton’s looked significantly better since returning from injury than most people were expecting. He’s posted 38 receptions for 539 yards and 2 touchdowns on 58 targets through 7 games. Sutton’s flashed near 30 fantasy point upside earlier in the season, as well.

He gets an elite matchup against the Washington Football Team. They’re allowing a league-high 300.6 passing yards per game and a league-high 19 passing touchdowns. Ultimately, they’ve given up 8.6 adjusted yards per attempt with a 6.9% touchdown rate in 2021. Washington’s also given up a league-high 1,379 air yards this season.

Sutton ranks fourth in the NFL, recording 42.9% of the Denver Broncos’ air yards this season. He also ranks second in the NFL in aDOT (16.4). Although Sutton isn’t elite after the catch, Washington can be beaten deep down the field, which is where Sutton is at his best.

Jerry Jeudy is returning to the Denver lineup this week, which should open the field more for Sutton. He comes with tremendous upside, and his deep-threat ability is perfect for this matchup. He comes with slate-breaking upside against Washington this weekend.
