What Is Jock MKT?
The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 6 Results
Patrick Mahomes
Highest Potential Bid: $10
Break-Even Point: 12
Mahomes performed well last week, recording 23.98 fantasy points in an easy win against the Washington Football Team. He wasn’t able to hit value, though, as he finished 16th on the slate, making each of his shares worth $8.50.
Tyreek Hill
Highest Potential Bid: $8.50
Break-Even Point: 16
Similar to Mahomes, Hill looked great but wasn’t able to quite hit value. He ranked 20th on the slate, scoring 22.6 fantasy points. He ended up being worth $7.50 per share, meaning we lost $1 per share at our highest potential bid.
Although our players performed well, we’d have lost $2.50 per equal shares of Mahomes and Hill last week. With that being said, if you purchased during the IPO, you’d have made $0.15 per share on Hill, as he went for $7.35 per share. Mahomes’ IPO was $11.36, which we wouldn’t have purchased, giving us a slightly positive week. Remember, the context of the slate matters heavily on Jock MKT.
Week 7 Buys
Matt Ryan
Highest Potential Bid: $8.00
Break-Even Point: 18
If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Ryan recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $8 per share for Ryan. He needs to finish 18th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.
For example, if I buy 1 share of Ryan at $8 and he finishes 18th in this field, I make my $8 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $17). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $7). It’s that simple.
Wide receivers dominated the top of the market last week with CeeDee Lamb, Cooper Kupp, and Adam Thielen finishing in the top-3. The rest of the top-10 consisted of 3 running backs and 4 quarterbacks. This is quite different from the first few weeks of the season where quarterbacks dominated the top of the market.
Ryan’s seen mixed results this season, posting 1,332 yards with 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions through 5 games. He’s thrown for 243+ yards and 2+ touchdowns in each of his last 4 games after struggling against the Philadelphia Eagles in the opener, though. He’s also recorded 625 yards and 6 touchdowns over his last 2 games.
Ryan gets an elite matchup against the Miami Dolphins this weekend. They’re allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game (292.5) to go along with the third-highest adjusted yards per attempt (8.7) this season. Miami’s also given up 13 passing touchdowns in 2021.
The Dolphins rank in the bottom-seven of the NFL in both air yards (1,029) and yards after the catch (812) allowed this season. Overall, they’ve allowed the third-most airYAC (1,841) in the league thus far.
There’s still the public perception that Ryan is a washed-up quarterback without upside. That isn’t the case, though. Atlanta loves to air the ball out, and Ryan comes with 300+ yard upside in this game. He could also find the end zone in this game. This game’s set at 47.5 points with the Falcons as small -2.5 point favorites. Ryan’s a cheaper way to get tremendous upside at this position, and he won’t cost you as much as some of the other top players.
Ja’Marr Chase
Highest Potential Bid: $7.25
Break-Even Point: 21
Chase is enjoying an elite rookie season for the Cincinnati Bengals. Through 6 games, he boasts 27 receptions for 553 yards and 3 touchdowns on 41 targets. Chase’s been a consistent option, posting 13.4+ fantasy points in each of his 6 games. He also boasts tremendous upside, recording 30.9 fantasy points a couple of weeks ago against the Green Bay Packers.
Chase gets a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. They’re allowing 277.3 passing yards per game and 7.7 adjusted yards per game thus far. Surprisingly, Baltimore’s only allowed 9 passing touchdowns this season. The Ravens have also struggled, allowing the second-most yards after the catch (968) and sixth-most airYAC (1,772) this season.
Chase leads the Bengals with a 16 aDOT and 47.5% of their air yards this season. He also leads the team with 6.5 yards after the catch per reception. Essentially, he’s consistently proven to be the top option without a massive red zone role. It makes him a perfect option against a team struggling with airYAC, though.
Chase is performing as well as any rookie receiver in recent memory. He isn’t seen as one of the top fantasy options at the moment, though. With that being said, he comes with the upside to lead the slate in scoring. He’s certainly risky, but you aren’t going to have to overspend to get him this weekend.
