What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Top Player

Chris Godwin

Projected Rank: 3rd

Jock MKT Projection: 17.24 Fantasy Points

I weighed a couple guys heavily for my top-buy today, but this feels like a game that Tampa Bay gets back on track and that should come through the passing game. Godwin has been his usual self this season when healthy, and is dominating the target-share at almost a 30% rate. I love Mike Evans upside weekly, but Godwin has been the go-to guy for Brady while Evans is seeing deeper targets/deep balls. Godwin profiles as someone that can get there on volume alone, and will really smash the slate if he happens to get in the end-zone. Baltimore is bottom-eight in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers, and fall to bottom-three against slot receivers (PFF). They struggle to cover the middle of the field, and I think Godwin could break out in a big way on Thursday.

Value Player

Josh Oliver

Projected Rank: 17th

Jock MKT Projection: 2.39 Fantasy Points

Hitting on these value-type players is extremely important on one game NFL slates, and Josh Oliver sticks out as someone that could crush in terms of value tonight. Tampa Bay ranks bottom-seven in fantasy points allowed to tight ends this season, and Oliver is coming off a game against the Browns in which he had a TD called back in the second-half. Mark Andrews is hopeful to play tonight, and I’m fine buying shares of Oliver even if he’s active. If he gets ruled out, however, Oliver would jump in price and be one of the top targets on the slate with most shifting their focus towards Isaiah Likely. He ran a route on a third of Jackson’s drop-backs last week, and earned an end-zone target as I pointed out. He could easily fall into the end-zone on Thursday night for a very cheap price.
