Jock MKT is fun new way to play DFS. In this article, I’ll break down what Jock MKT is and my favorite MLB buys for tonight’s slate.
What Is Jock MKT?
The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for the night.

6/22/22 Early Buy
Andrew Vaughn, Chicago White Sox
Potential Bid: $6.00
Break-Even Point: 28th
If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Vaughn recommendation. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $6.00 per share for him. He needs to finish 28th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.
For example, if I buy 1 share of Vaughn at $6.00 and he finishes 28th in this field, I make my $6.00 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $19.00). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $5.00). It’s that simple.

This is a great spot for offense with a near 10 O/U and I do expect both teams to get in on the scoring on Wednesday afternoon. Vaughn and the White Sox match up with Ross Stripling, who has always leaned more towards a reverse-splits pitcher. He allows more power to right-handed batters, and that’s great news for Vaughn. When he was first brought up, it was thought that he would crush left-handed pitching but Vaughn has actually been great in same-handed match-ups this season. His .364 wOBA paces the team in the split. Overall, we want to chase power when spending in this price range and that’s exactly what Vaughn brings in an above-average match-up.
Late Market Buy
Byron Buxton, Minnesota Twins
Potential Bid: $5.34
Break-Even Point: 32nd
Minnesota has one of the higher team totals in the Late Marker, sitting just south of five runs as it currently stands. Triston McKenzie has been good for the Guardians, but he has also outperformed his advanced metrics and is allowing over a .200 ISO to right-handed batters. We know that Buxton is the most imposing batter in this lineup, but his .309 ISO vs righties this season is one of the highest marks in all of baseball. This is a great spot for him to get going tonight against McKenzie, and he has a legitimate chance at top-overall batter in the Late Market.
