Jock MKT is fun new way to play DFS. In this article, I’ll break down what Jock MKT is and my favorite MLB buys for tonight’s slate.
What Is Jock MKT?
The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for the night.

5/23/22 Top Buy
Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers
Potential Bid: $6.50
Break-Even Point: 25th
If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Freeman recommendation. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $6.50 per share for him. He needs to finish 25th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.
For example, if I buy 1 share of Freeman at $6.50 and he finishes 25th in this field, I make my $6.50 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $18.50). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $5.50). It’s that simple.

Los Angeles has the highest team-total on the board tonight, so it’s only right we will be buying shares of their players. I think Freeman is in the best spot of the entire lineup tonight against Joan Adon. Adon really struggles with left-handed batters, striking them out just 19% of the time and allowing a .232 ISO. Freeman does possess power, but he also has the highest wOBA and line drive rate vs righties in this lineup. In my opinion, he’s the best left-handed hitter on the team. Adon also throws mostly fastballs, and Freeman is the best fastball hitter for the Dodgers. Over the last three seasons, we are looking at a .472 wOBA and .325 ISO in the split. This is one of the best individual match-ups he will see all season, and that makes him the top overall buy.
Secondary Buy
Nolan Gorman, St. Louis Cardinals
Potential Bid: $3.20
Break-Even Point: 50th
This is one of the best values I can remember all season. It’s not really about the match-up either, he’s up against Jose Berrios who is an above-average pitcher especially to right-handed hitters. That being said, Gorman is one of the better hitting prospects in baseball and has big-time raw power. He’s gone 5-10 since joining the big league club, and had already hit 15 homeruns in the minors before his call-up last week. It’s not often that we find someone with this ability at this price range, and if Gorman is in the lineup he is a smash buy in this pricing tier.
