I wrote up Tellez last night and he smashed, collecting two hits, one of which was a homerun. Milwaukee once again has over a five run team total, and it’s a great match-up against the Pirates bullpen. Pittsburgh will be going with Tyler Beede as an opener tonight, followed by Chase De Jong. Both of these guys aren’t great, and De Jong has allowed a .224 ISO to left-handed hitters this season. Tellez has the highest ISO on the team against right-handed pitching, and he is absolutely locked in at the plate right now. De Jong throws his fastball over half the time, a pitch that Tellez owns over a .480 expected wOBA against. He should know what’s coming tonight, and he has one of the highest ceilings on tonight’s slate with the way he’s swinging the bat right now.
