Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Houston has one of the larger team totals on the board tonight at 5 runs, and I love this match-up for them against Dylan Bundy. Bundy is not a bad pitcher, but he perennially allows too much power which is exactly what we want to target for ceiling-level games. Power is no issue for Alvarez, who owns a team-high .345 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. Furthermore, Bundy relies on his changeup to get outs. It’s his second-most used pitch to lefties and one that he goes to when looking for an out. Alvarez has huge numbers against this pitch, including a .301 ISO. Overall, this is a high-upside spot for the Astros tonight and nobody in the lineup has the same ceiling as Alvarez. He’s at the top of our projections tonight and a priority buy for me.
