Slate Thoughts:

Week 6

Quarterback

  • Cunningham has been playing extremely well this season, dominating teams with his ability to run the ball, and to hit the deep ball.  He gets a dream matchup vs. one of the worst defenses in the ACC.  Virginia is allowing over 220 rush yards per game, something that Cunningham can definitely take advantage of.  If I am paying up for a QB this weekend, Cunningham tops my list.
  • KJ Jefferson got absolutely owned by UGA last week, but finds himself in a nice bounce back spot here.  This Ole Miss defense has nothing close to what UGA had up front, which should allow this Arkansas Offensive line to have a little more success at providing Jefferson some time to work.  His price tag of only 6.9k is a very good price to target Jefferson at, especially in an up tempo game, where Arkansas is projected for 30 points.  Jefferson is a dual-threat guy, that can make things happen when the pocket breaks down.  The value at the QB position is really good this week, and Jefferson tops my list for value at that spot
Others to consider: G. Shrader (SYR); Tagovialoa (Maryland); S. Hartman (Wake); L. Doty (USC); B. Armstrong (UVA); KJ Jefferson (ARK)

Running Back

  • Leddie Brown continues to be priced way to low, and I hope to keep taking advantage of an 8k back being priced in the 6k’s.  He gets a matchup vs. Baylor who have allowed 162 rush yards per game, and who just got ran over by Oklahoma States run game.  Brown is not only a threat in the rushing game, he is also very dangerous out of the backfield as a pass catcher.  I look for Brown to have a big game here.
  • Jalen Mitchell, like Cunningham, gets a great matchup vs. a Virginia defense that allows over 220 rush yards per game.  He is averaging 16 carries and nearly 60 rush yards per game.  Facing a defense that is as poor vs. the run as Virginia is, I could see a few of these carries for Mitchell turning into huge gains.  This also benefits him in the red zone when they are looking to run the ball. He is just too cheap in this good of a spot.
Others to consider: K. Harris (USC); T. Evans(Tennessee); Z. White (UGA); T. Henderson (OSU); T. Allgeier (BYU)

Wide Receiver

  • Rakim Jarrett is expected to take on an expanded role this week and going forward with Dontay Demus being ruled out for the rest of the season.  Jarrett is a very explosive play maker for this Maryland squad, and should thrive as the #1 guy.  He is priced at only 4.1k this weekend on DK and is a core play for me.  Another core play for me this weekend is Jeshaun Jones, who is expected to draw the start in place of Demus.  Jones is a very talented receiver, who is priced at only 3.5k, and should see a heavy dose of targets in this up-tempo game environment.
  • G. Wilson has been the top target for CJ Stroud this year, and should once again find himself in a spot this weekend where he will be heavily targeted.  He has had multiple games with over 100 receiving yards, and is averaging nearly 18 yards per reception.  He is priced under 7k once again, and makes for a very solid play at that price.
  • Dontayvion Wicks and Billy Kemp IV are two guys that I have tons of interest in this weekend.  Both guys are seeing double digit targets per game.  This game has one of the highest totals on the slate, so we should expect plenty of points being scored in this one.  Kemp and Wicks are huge pieces of this offense, and make for extremely strong stacking partners with Armstrong.
