After an international break that felt like months we finally get EPL back!. This week we get a really nice seven game slate that features Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool as the last game of the slate. Man City is the biggest favorite on the slate and should gather the most ownership. Tottenham is in the toughest game of the three and Liverpool has the leaky Huddersfield defense that we like to attack weekly. The only problem with Liverpool is that a few players are questionable and being the late game could be risky to play them. In the other hand ownership will be lower because of the questionable players and it could make for a nice gpp stack. Here are my picks for the week.
Forwards
Bournemouth: Callum Wilson $6,900
Bournemouth gets a juicy matchup against Southampton this week which makes Callum Wilson my favorite gpp forward on the slate. Southampton has given up seven goals in their last three games and Wilson is in great form scoring and assisting in his last two games. I like Bournemouth to score two to three goals here and I like Wilson to get a goal and maybe an assist as well.
Also, consider Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic $6,800. Mitrovic gets a matchup against Cardiff City who has allowed 10 goals in their last three games and Mitrovic has not scored in his last two games. This has the makings of a big game for Mitrovic.
Midfielders
Liverpool: Mohamed Salah $10,400
This is in my opinion the best gpp play on the slate. Salah has not been good this year and his logs attest to that. The fact that he is questionable with a leg injury and also has not scored in his last two games then add the fact that it is the late game on the slate and we could see his ownership be criminally low. I absolutely love the spot here for the Egyptian Messi to have a get right game against Huddersfield and find the back of the net and have a massive slate breaking performance here.
Also, consider Manchester City midfielder Leroy Sane $9,300 who will be the least owned player from Manchester City who has a legit shot at 15 to 20 plus fantasy points against Burnley. If you need some savings at midfield you can look at Cardiff’s Victor Camarasa $4,900 and Wolves mid Ruben Neves $5,600.
Defenders
Tottenham: Kieran Trippier $7,100
Trippier’s price will eventually get to a point where we will have to avoid him. However this is not the time and I am willing to pay the $7,100 and more against West Ham. This should be a highly competitive game which means that Trippier will be active and crossing and taking corners to try and get his team the three points. The man’s floor is around 12 but I highly expect him to get 20 plus here in this spot.
Also, consider Wolves Matt Doherty $5,800 and we will need to keep an eye out for the Watford starting lineup to see who will be starting at defense for them with Holebas out. That could provide great value for us to be able to pay up where needed.
Goalkeeper
Fulham: Fabri $4,600
I think Fulham has a great chance to get a win here and maybe even a clean sheet. Fulham is no powerhouse so they should be tested here by Cardiff enough for Fabri to rack up some save points. I think he is a safe bet for 5-7 points with the upside of much more if he gets the clean sheet and win.
As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on slack or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
