This week brings us a 6 game slate without Manchester City which is always a great thing. Tottenham is the biggest favorites on the slate facing Cardiff City which could make Harry Kane the highest owned player on the slate. He might be a necessity in both cash and gpp. All the other games on the slate are pretty even with the Leicester City against Everton game having the potential to produce a lot of goals. I also like the spot for Watford and Burnley. Here are my picks for this week.
Forwards
Everton: Richarlison $8,300
Richarlison comes into this match averaging 18 fantasy points per game. His last two games he has scored 12.5 and 13.5 points without a goal or an assist. In fact Richarlison has not scored since week two which makes me love him in this spot even more. With Tottenham forward Harry Kane $11,100 expected to gather heavy ownership I expect Richarlison to go overlook in a spot where he should find the back of the net and at very low ownership.
Also, consider Watford forward Troy Deeney $6,100. A lot of goals are expected in the Watford Bournemouth and I expect Deeney to get involved in a goal or an assist. On the other side of this game you can look at Callum Wilson $6,300 Who should have himself a nice game here. I also do not hate a late game hammer with Marcus Rashford $8,500 if he gets the start.
Midfielders
Burnley: Johann Berg Gudmundsson $9,100
This is in my opinion the lock of the slate. JBG has been on fire the last few weeks and this week he gets my favorite team to target in Huddersfield. Last week we targeted them with Harry Kane and he came through with a brace. JBG is not a scorer but he does take all sets for his team and should create a lot of chances against this leaky Huddersfield defense to have himself a massive day.
Also, consider Leicester City Midfielder James Maddison $8,500 who has not scored under 15 points in the last 5 weeks and gets a nice matchup against Everton. If Eriksen is out for Tottenham then Erik Lamela $7,200 makes for a really nice gpp play. If you need to punt then look no further than Jonjo Shelvey $3,700.
Defenders
Watford: Jose Holebas $6,700
The man is just a staple in my lineups. Yes the price is extremely high but he comes with tremendous upside and a very safe floor of 12 plus points. This game could produce fireworks and expect a big game from my boy Jose who has taken 36 crosses in the last three games!.
Also, consider Burnley defender James Tarkowski $3,700 if he is fit to start. James was subbed out last game with an injury but if he does start he becomes one of my favorite defenders on the slate.
Goalkeeper
Newcastle: Martin Dubravka $3,800
My strategy this season has been to punt goalie or simply play the goalie that fits the build. This week it is a little of both. Newcastle travels to Manchester to face a United team that has been a shell of itself this season. I do not expect Newcastle to win this game but I do expect Dubravka to have a lot of save opportunities and for min price that is what we need. It also would not shock me if Newcastle finds a way to win this game and get us the win bonus.
As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on slack or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
