Jaime’s EPL Week 5 DraftKings GPP Punts and Pivots

We are back after what seemed to be the longest international break in history!

This week seems like one of the toughest weeks due to Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all playing in the same slate. I will be mentioning gpp plays which will have lower ownership than the Chalk plays, like Sergio Aguero, who should be over 50 percent owned in both cash and GPP since he features a 70 precent chance to net a goal.

Hopefully these plays will give us the edge in ownership to move up the ranks and hopefully take down some gpp’s this weekend.

Forwards

Manchester United: Romelu Lukaku $9,400

On this slate Lukaku’s ownership should be less than Aguero, Hazard, Sterling and Aubameyang which makes him an awesome gpp play. We could be getting Lukaku at under 20 percent ownership maybe even close to 10 and he is almost at 50 percent odds to net a goal. I really like the chances of Lukaku to have a big game against Watford specially after dropping a brace on Burnley.

Also, consider Huddersfield forward Steve Mounie $4,700. At this price and the fact that Mounie has not scored less than 3 points only once this season makes him a very intriguing gpp play with big time goal upside against a Palace team that has given up 6 goals in their first 4 matches.

Mounie should get his first goal of the season here and it could be under 5 percent owned. Other Forwards I like on this slate for gpp are Alexandre Lacazette $8,500, Alvaro Morata $7,500 and since I believe that the Leicester Bournemouth game could turn into a goal fest please sign me up for a Jamie Vardy $6,800 party!

Midfielders

Huddersfield Town: Philip Billing $3,900

With so many expensive options on this slate Philip Billing provides us with arguably the best value on the slate. At $3,900 we get a player that has scored 21.3, 7.5, 3.8 and 11.5 in his first four games and is playing at home. Billing opens up a whole lot of options for our gpp lineup and you could even make the case for a Billing Mounie stack.

Also, consider Leicester Midfielder James Maddison $7,300. There are a lot of really good options around the 7k range which could make Maddison a very good gpp play since we will get him at lower ownership. Other midfielders to consider for gpp are David Silva $7,500, Jesse Lingard $6,500 and Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks $4,400 who could get extra opportunities with Fraser likely to miss this game.

Defenders

Watford: Jose Holebas $5,600

Holebas is usually a weekly cash play. However due to Man city being on the slate it will lower his ownership massively. Manchester United has not been a great or maybe even good team this season and I expect both teams to get on the score sheet and provide plenty of corners and set pieces for Holebas to smash value.

If he can assist a goal as well we are looking at an easy 20 plus game that can lead us to a takedown.

Also, consider these other gpp defender options: Jon Stankovic $3,100, Chris Smalling $3,400 and it would be wrong on my part to not mention my boy John Stones $3,800.

Goalkeeper

Watford: Ben Foster $4,300

This price just seems silly to me for Foster. He has allowed goals in all but one game this season and he still has scored 7 plus points every single game. I obviously like Lukaku to score in this game but I do think Watford picks up the win giving us that nice 5 point bonus to go along with a few saves.

As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on slack or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
