This weekend’s 6 game slate is very interesting. Chelsea has busted big time while being chalk the past few slates. This week they get the super leaky Huddersfield defense. All the other games on the slate look pretty even and of course we do not have to worry about the Manchester City Russian roulette this week. Let’s take down some tournaments this week. Here are my top plays.
Forward
Top: Hazard $9,900
We get Hazard at a discount from last week and he has an even better matchup against my favorite team to target Huddersfield. Last 5 games he has scored 8 or more points without scoring a goal. Hazard should have plenty of opportunities to get a goal and possibly more. Last time these two teams played Chelsea won 3-0 and I expect more of the same here.
Mid: Gonzalo Higuain $7,000
Last game we saw his floor which is exactly 0. I do not expect Higuain to be chalk this week and if I get any indication that he is I would much rather fade him. The price is just way too cheap for me. He has the highest odds to score a goal and is playing a defense that loves to give up goals. It all sets up perfectly for a big Chelsea win and for Higuain to get his first goal with Chelsea. If Jota $7,100 gets the start I really like him also in tournaments. Most people will go with Jimenez but Jota has been awesome his last few starts.
Value: Michy Batshuayi $5,800
He could be making his debut for Palace this week and he would get a really nice matchup against Fulham who have given up 4 goals in their last two games. On the other side of this game you have Ryan Babel $5,600 who got his first start last game assisting a goal while taking 3 shots and 5 crosses.
Midfielders
Top: Gylfi Sigurdsson $8,900
Gylfi just might be the best overall play on the board this week with Digne out. He should reclaim all set pieces like he had at the start of the season that made him an automatic lock every week until Digne showed up. He should have his regular floor of 7-8 points with the upside of 15 plus if he assists on a goal or if he gets one himself.
.
Mid: Ryan Fraser $7,700
Last time Fraser played against Cardiff it took him 20 minutes to find the back of the net. We should expect more of the same here with Bournemouth coming into this game with massive confidence after blowing out Chelsea 4-0 last week.
Value: Moutinho $5,700
The man has been on a roll the past two weeks against West Ham and Leicester scoring 22 and 18 points. In that period he has assisted four goals and taken 10 crosses. The price seems way too low for someone with that high of a floor.
Defense
Top: Holebas $6,000
With Digne being out Holebas becomes the top expensive defender play of the slate and it is not close. I do not see anyone else in this price range worth paying up for. Last time Holebas played against this defense he had two assist and should have another big game here.
Mid: Valery $4,500
He has just been very solid in his two starts scoring over 7 points in both. He gets a really good matchup against Burnley and again besides Holebas there is nobody worth paying up for. I love this mid range with Valery and I do not mind Jonny $4,400 who just inked a 4 year deal with wolves and will have a lot to prove.
Value: Kurt Zouma $3,300
Really cheap for a guy who has not scored under 7 points in his last 3 weeks. Probably my favorite punt defender of the slate although I do have a sneaky feeling about Ake $3,600 who seems due for one of his random goal games.
Goalkeeper
Ben Foster $4,600
The only goalie I really like to win and keep a clean sheet is Kepa $5,900 but man is that a high price to pay. I like Foster’s chances at getting a win bonus and getting a few saves. It is against Brighton so the clean sheet can’t be ruled out. If you really want to take a chance at glory you can look at Lossl $3,600 going up against Chelsea who have not looked right lately. At worse he could rack up the saves coming from the Chelsea attack. I do think Chelsea gets back on track here with a big game which makes me lean Foster as of now.
As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on discord or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
