Jaime’s EPL Week 16 DraftKings GPP Punts and Pivots

Today we get a six game slate headlined with a matchup between Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham are in really good spots in a slate that should produce a lot of goals. I really love attacking any forward going against Huddersfield and this week that will be my favorite forward on the entire slate. Here are my picks for this week.

Forward

Top: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang $9,300

Love the spot against the leakiest defense in soccer in Huddersfield. Last slate we attacked them with Glenn Murray and he found the back of the net. Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in the world and will be worth every penny at 9,300. Fully expect him to find the back of the net here with the upside of a brace or hat trick. Easily the top option for me in gpp. If for some reason Aubameyang sits and Lacazette $8,900 starts he instantly becomes the best play on the board.

Mid: Romelu Lukaku $8,300

Martial $9,000 is set to miss the game against Fulham and Lukaku could be in line for the start. Fulham has allowed a goal in pretty much every game this season including 12 goals in their last 5 games. Great spot for the Belgian to have a great game. Love united as a whole this weekend.

Value: Lucas Perez $4,800

With Arnautovic set to miss the next few games Lucas Perez could be in line for a start against  a Crystal Palace team that has looked terrible lately. Crystal is coming off a loss against Brighton giving up 3 goals and Perez scored 2 goals in 50 minutes last game. Amazing value if he does get the start.

Midfielders

Top: Paul Pogba $7,800

Pogba is my favorite midfielder this week. He should come with really low ownership and the matchup is great against Fulham. He should easily reach value and has the potential for a massive game here.

Mid: Robert Snodgrass $7,200

The guy has been so good the last few games and the matchup could not be better. In his last two games he has connected on three assist and has taken 17 crosses. Sign me up for some Snodgrass this week.

Value: Stuart Armstrong $4,300

Armstrong had a really bad game against Tottenham scoring only 1 point. Before that he scored three goal against Manchester United and Fulham and the matchup with Cardiff this week sets up for a really nice bounce back spot for him at low ownership and low risk due to his price but with big big upside. Strictly a gpp play though.

Defense

Top: Ashley Young $5,600

In his last two games Young has taken 22 crosses to score 11 and 15 points. Great matchup against Fulham makes him my favorite defender to pay up for.

Mid: Cedric Soares $5,200

Cedric has a safe floor of 5-7 points due to the fact that he loves to cross the ball and shoot. Against Cardiff he should easily reach value and has clean sheet upside as well.

Value: Laurent Koscielny $3,100

This is one of my locks of the slate as long as he gets the start. The price for a guy who has great odds at a clean sheet and the upside of getting involved in a goal against Huddersfield really intrigues me. Love the play.

Goalkeeper

Kepa Arrizabalaga $4,200

I get that he is playing the mighty squad of Man City and just gave up two goals to Wolves but the price is just too good to pass up. At this price he does not even need the clean sheet or win he just needs to rack up some saves which he should have no trouble doing against Man City. This game should be highly contested and nothing would shock me. Not even a clean sheet and win for Chelsea.

As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on discord or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
