Jaime’s EPL punts and pivots

 

 

Week four kicks off Saturday with a 6 game slate that features some big teams including Chelsea and what is sure to be the chalk of the slate in Manchester City. Fulham, Crystal Palace and Everton are also in some really nice spots and could make for some really good gpp pivots on this slate. Here are my picks for this slate.

 

 

Forwards

Everton: Cenk Tosun $6,500

Cenk Tosun has yet to find the back of the net but he has scored seven plus points in his first three games. Huddersfield has given up 9 goals in their first three matches and Everton should add a few more goals to that total come Saturday. Aguero $11,100 has the highest odds to net a goal on the slate but is 5k more than a player like Tosun who faces a really good matchup and could easily get a goal or a brace here. Sign me up for some Tosun this weekend!.

Also, consider Fulham forward Aleksander Mitrovic $7,500. The only thing that worries me about Mitrovic is how high he might be owned coming off a brace game. However he is in a great spot against Brighton where he could add to his goal total for the season. Wolves Raul Jimenez $6,300 and Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha $8,800 are also some really nice gpp plays who should come with really low ownership.

 

 

Midfielders

Chelsea: Eden Hazard $10,800

Hazard is my favorite high priced player on the slate. All attention will be on Manchester City and to fit in the Manchester City studs you have to fade Hazard. Chelsea comes in as the second biggest favorite on the slate and they should score two plus goals at home against Bournemouth. Hazard will get involved and I believe he has the chance to be the highest scoring player on the entire slate.

Also, consider Manchester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez $9,800. If you do not play Hazard then Mahrez should be in your lineup. Mahrez is my favorite exposure to Manchester City but we need to make sure he is in the starting eleven. Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri $5,200 and West Ham’s Antonio $5,500 make for some really good cheap gpp plays.

 

 

 

Defenders

Manchester City: John Stones $3,900

Manchester City is a gigantic favorite to win and keep a clean sheet. Stones has been one of my favorite go to CB in soccer dfs and I am going right back to him here. He should have a really safe floor of 4 points and should get a few opportunities for a set piece goal against Newcastle.

 

Also, consider Everton defender Kurt Zouma $3,200 who could make his season debut this week due to Michael Keane’s injury.

 

 

 

Goalkeeper

Southampton: Alex McCarthy $4,300

This pick comes down to the fact that I do not think I will be playing too many guys from Crystal Palace and McCarthy should be tested enough to make some saves and reach value in this spot. The only Crystal Palace I currently have on my radar is Zaha but at this moment I might just fade Palace and load up on McCarthy which allows me to get some big time gpp plays into my lineup.
