Offense:
- Barclay Goodrow SJ ($3000-DK, $3600-FD) Was moved up to Shark’s 2nd scoring line and saw 17 minutes of ice time last game. Goodrow is on fire with four points in his last three games. Is at home versus Minnesota’s 26th ranked defense against wingers.
- Connor Brown OTT ($3900-DK, $4400-FD) Second line skater who also gets 1st unit power play time, and has been consistent all season with 12 points and 27 shots through 14 games. The Sens have played surprising well lately, and have one of the highest projected totals at home tonight against the Kings.
- Joel Farabee PHI ($3600-FD only) Has responded well to the additional minutes he’s getting on the top line and PP with two goals on 10 shots in his last three games. A bit pricier on DK, but still worth spending the $4200 there facing Montreal’s 24th ranked defense.
Others to consider: Derick Brassard NYI ($3800-DK, $4900-FD) Bryan Rust PIT ($3900-DK, $3800-FD) Alexander Kerfoot TOR ($3700-DK, $4200-FD)
Defense:
- Jakob Chychrun ARI ($3900-DK, $3700-FD) Always manages to boost your lineup in a variety of ways. He gets power play time and has launched 31 shots and blocked 17 more in 15 games this season. Columbus only has a mediocre defense at best and I bet Chychrun gets at least one point on home ice tonight.
- Shayne Gostisbehere PHI ($3800-DK, $4800-FD) After a slow start, Gostisbehere has turned it around with five points in his last eight games. Is locked into both the Flyer’s 2nd defensive pairing and power play unit. He has a prime match up at home versus the Canadian’s next to last defense.
Also consider: Dylan DeMelo OTT ($2600-DK, $3700-FD) Mario Ferraro SJ ($2600-DK, $3500-FD)
Goaltenders: (As of this writing, both are confirmed to start)
- Jacob Markstrom VAN ($7500-DK only) Has really only had two sub-par outings in his 10 games this season. Markstrom has a solid defensive core in front of him and a great chance to get a win against Chicago, who ranks 25th in team scoring this season.
- Petr Mrazek CAR ($7900-FD only) Looking for his eighth win in a GREAT match up at home with the struggling Rangers. Carolina has the best odds to pick up a win of all the teams playing tonight, and Mrazek owns a 2.5 GAA.
