Offense:
- Tyson Jost COL ($3900-DK, $4300-FD) As I mentioned yesterday, the injuries the Avalanche have suffered (Landeskog, Rantanen) have led to more ice time for others. One prime example is Jost, who has been elevated to center the 2nd scoring line and top PP. Colorado’s scoring punch may have taken a step back, but I like them tonight against the Panther’s 21st ranked defense.
- Sammy Blais STL ($3700-DK, $3800-FD) Another value play that should benefit from a teammate’s injury, (Tarasenko) is Blais. He started red hot with five points in his first five games this season before getting injured. He will be back skating tonight on the Blues top scoring line.
- Christian Dvorak ARI ($4000-FD only) Has scored four times on 14 shots in his last seven games as the Coyotes offense is beginning to show signs of life. Plays on top scoring and power play lines alongside Keller and Kessel. He’s also still relatively cheap on DK as well at $4500.
Others to consider: Alex Iafallo LA ($3500-DK, $4200-FD) Boone Jenner CLS ($3700-DK, $4500-FD)
Defense:
- Alec Martinez LA ($3400-DK, $3800-FD) He skates in the Kings second defensive pairing but anchors their top power play unit. Blocked shots help any blueliner get close to value on either site and Martinez is among the league leaders with 24.
- Samuel Girard COL ($3900-DK, $4300-FD) Is averaging over 22 minutes of ice time due to being in the top defensive pairing and directing the 2nd PP unit. Girard has 3 assists in his last five games with six shot and six blocked shots over the same span.
Also consider: Vince Dunn STL ($4000-both sites)
Goaltenders: (This article was written prior to AM skate. Please check closer to lock as the following were probable but not confirmed to start.)
- Darcy Kuemper ARI ($7400-DK only) Has been realy sharp this season with a .933 save % and a tiny 1.89 GAA in eight starts.
- Philipp Grubauer COL ($8000-FD only) Is at home, has won six of his eight starts only allowing a 2.59 GAA per game so far.
