I will be adding my thought process behind the daily value picks for you going forward. Whether the players we suggest come through or not, know that our whole staff at DFS Karma research hard to bring you the best info so that you can cash your lineups.
My insights on tonight’s 8 game schedule-
- Teams with greatest chance to win: COL, TB, BOS
- Best for possible shootouts: TOR/MON, CGY/WPG
- Best for defensive battles: STL/BOS, PIT/DAL, LA/MIN
Offense:
- J.T. Compher COL ($3500-FD, $4600-FD) Compher has tallied a point in three of his last four. He is skating on the top line and second PP unit. This game feels like it could be an easy win for the Avalanche and I’ll bet their #1 line does some major damage.
- Bryan Little WPG ($3300-DK, $4600-FD) Will be playing his third game back from injury and skates on 2nd line and PP unit for the Jets. We should see an increase in ice time and involvement from Little. I like his chances to hit the score sheet tonight as this game has one of the highest projected implied totals.
- Zach Parise MIN ($3900-DK only) Is priced at a major discount (-$1600) than on FD. Even bottom feeding teams score, and you’re getting a top line/top PP winger at home in a favorable match up for less that 4K. I’m on board with Parise tonight.
Others to consider: Trevor Moore TOR ($3200-DK, $3400-FD) Nick Cousins MON ($3400-DK, $3200-FD)
Defense:
- Ryan Murray CLS ($3600-DK, $3700-FD) Is coming off his best game of the season with a goal, assist, two shots and two blocks against Carolina on Thursday. He saw 22 minutes of ice time and directs the Jacket’s second power play unit.
- Samuel Girard COL ($3700-DK, $4200-FD) Is in Colorado’s top defensive pairing and anchors the first PP unit as well. Girard has an assist in three of his last four and is averaging almost two shots and two blocks per game. This price seems too cheap to me.
Also consider: Ben Hutton LA ($3000-DK, $3500-FD)
Goaltenders:
- Matt Murray PIT ($7500-DK only) Should rack up near 30 saves and have a good chance to win versus Dallas. DK did a nice job with goalie pricing today so you might want to spend up and play it safe with Rask, Francouz, or Elliot for just $500 more.
- Pavel Francouz ($7600-FD only) Is my favorite netminder to get a win tonight and at a nice discount on FD. Has saved 78 of 82 in his two starts this season and might just be the best backup in the NHL at this point.
Get a comfortable seat, some snacks and enjoy the pucks. Hopefully, you’ll add some green to your bankroll too.
