There is a huge 10-game NHL schedule for us to choose our lineups from this evening. All athletes have their good days and bad. Let’s focus on some skaters that may have been quiet lately, but are in line for a good game tonight.
Offense:
- Sam Lafferty PIT ($2700-FD, $3000-FD) Tiny salary on both sites plus Panther defense is ranked 25th against wingers. Lafferty has two multi-point games already this season.
- Andreas Athanasiou DET ($3900-DK, $4600-FD) Is skating at home on Wing’s second line and top power play versus Canuck’s mid-pack defense. His shot volume is there, so one has to find the back of the net soon.
- Mikael Granlund NSH ($3900-DK, $4900-FD) Plays on both the Pred’s second skating line and power play, has had three games in a row with just one shot. Granlund is due to breakout, plus he sees plenty of ice time and will be low owned.
Others to consider: Brandon Pirri VGK ($3600-DK, $3500-FD) Bryan Little WPG ($3400-DK, $4500-FD)
Defense:
- Michael Stone CGY ($2700-DK, $3500-FD) This game lines up as a great opportunity for Stone to block shots with the high shot volume the Capitals take. He won’t have to do too much to return value on this small salary.
- Jake Muzzin TOR ($3900-DK, $4300-FD) Should be priced $1000 higher as he is producing better than Schultz, Theodore, and Morrissey who are close to 5K. Good very well rack up good stats tonight facing Boston.
Also consider: Brent Seabrook CHI ($3800-DK, $4100-FD)
Goaltenders:
- Jacob Markstrom VAN ($7300-DK only) Has scored 20 or more fantasy points in three straight. Is on the road but in a GREAT matchup versus Detroit’s 22nd ranked offense and owns a minute 2.19 GAA so far. Not a fan of paying the extra $900 to roster him on Fanduel.
- Connor Hellebuyck WPG ($7700-FD only) Has a good home matchup tonight against the 3-5 Kings. Had his best game last time out with a 28-save shutout of the Oilers. Is $600 more expensive on DraftKings.
