There are 4 NHL games today, here’s a breakdown of each with some value plays to consider for your lineup builds.
Dallas@Florida- projected total: 5-6 goals. Florida is a -125 favorite to win at home.
D-Aaron Ekblad FLA ($4600 FD only) has accumulated 21 points in 25 games, including six assists in his last five contests. Throw in 13 shots and seven blocks over that same stretch, and it’s clear Ekblad is out-performing his FD price. One of the team weaknesses for Dallas is they rank 21st against opposing defensemen.
C-Radek Faksa DAL ($3200 DK, $3400 FD) put five pucks on net last night, resulting in one goal to help Dallas score a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay. Faksa had an eight-game point streak from early to mid-November and I want to be on board because this just might be the start of another stretch like that.

Toronto@NY Rangers- projected total: 6-7 goals. Toronto is a -170 road favorite to win.
W-Ilya Mikheyev TOR ($3600 DK, $3900 FD) is one of the Leafs most active shooters right now, tallying two goals on 16 shots in his last five games. The Rangers defense has been generous to opposing wingers; currently ranked 28th in goals allowed.
D-Brady Skjei NYR ($3800-both sites) has picked up three points, 16 shots, and nine blocks in his last seven games. Skjei has been one of the Rangers most consistent fantasy scorers with a value price tag, and I think this game has a good chance to turn into a shoot-out.
Washington@New Jersey- projected total: 6 goals. Washington is the biggest favorite tonight at -185 on the road.
G-Ilya Samsonov WAS ($8000 DK, $7800 FD) has won three-straight road games, giving up two goals or less in each of those. Only Detroit (2.2 goals/game) has averaged less scoring per game than New Jersey (2.4 goals/game), who even on home ice should get run over by this very talented Capitals squad.
C-Lars Eller WAS ($3400 DK, $4500 FD) sees 2nd-unit power play time, and has launched 20 shots in his last five games. It makes sense to have exposure to the team with the highest chance to win every night, but Eller is in a great spot to pad fantasy lineups against a clearly inferior team.
Pittsburgh@Edmonton- projected total: 6 goals. Pittsburgh is a -130 road favorite to win.
C-Jared McCann PIT ($4000 DK, $4400 FD) centers the Pens’ 2nd line, and is active on their #1 power-play unit. With 19 points in 25 games, McCann has been putting together his points in bunches this season. He has put seven pucks on net in the last two games, and I think he hits the score sheet tonight against this Oilers’ mid-pack defense.
W-James Neal EDM ($3900 DK only) has been almost a point per contest scorer with 16 goals and seven assists through 25 games on Edmonton’s 2nd scoring line and top power-play unit. The Penguins rank 21st defensively against wingers, and will be using their top defensive pairing trying to chase down Connor McDavid all night.
