Here’s hoping your holiday weekend is going well and you’re not sick of leftovers yet. Let’s dive into tonight’s NHL slate with 22 teams ready to take the ice.

• Best chance to win: TOR, WAS, CGY
• Highest game totals: BUF@TOR, WAS@DET, NSH@FLA
• Lowest game totals: CLS@NYI, SJ@ARI

 

Offense:

1. Jason Spezza TOR ($3300-DK, $3500-FD) has tallied eight points in his last nine games. He gets 2nd-unit PP time at home versus Sabres’ mid-pack defense, and Leafs are biggest favorite on the whole slate.
2. Derek Ryan CGY ($3200-DK, $3700-FD) averaging almost three shots and a block per game in his last six. Ryan sees 2nd-unit PP time against the Sens lower-third defense … plus Calgary a top three favorite tonight.
3. Josh Bailey NYI ($3700-DK only) is a top-six skater that also gets 2nd-unit PP time. He has been quiet lately, but has a prime match up against the Jackets’ 22nd ranked defense against wingers. **I’m not using Bailey on FD where he costs $1400 more.**

Also consider: Craig Smith NSH ($3000-DK, $4100-FD)                                                 Travis Boyd WAS ($2800-DK, $3300-FD)

 

Defense:

1. Sean Walker LA ($3700-DK, $4100-FD) is way too active for the Kings at this price. Walker has tallied five points, taken 18 shots, and blocked 16 more in his last nine games. Winnipeg’s 23rd ranked defense and his 2nd-unit PP time cinches it for me.
2. Dmitry Orlov WAS ($3400-DK, $3900-FD) has the dream match up against the leaky Red Wings defense you know I like to exploit. Orlov has picked up two points, eight shots, and six blocks in his last four games, and also get time on the Caps 2nd-unit PP.

Also consider: Chris Tanev VAN ($2900-DK, $3600-FD)

 

Goaltenders:

1. Anti Raanta ARI ($7900-DK only) only allowing 2.0 goals/game and owns an impressive .942 save% at home this season.
2. Ilya Samsonov WAS ($7800-DK, $7500-FD) has a GREAT chance for his sixth win against a punch-less Detroit team only averaging 2.2 goals/game.
