What’s up Karma Nation!
Finally we are starting to get some good NHL slates now! We are coming off a nice win last night and have a 8 game slate tonight. I am here to breakdown my favorite cash game plays. Let’s get this W!
Center
Alex Barkov- This is a DK only play for me, Barkov is still under priced and has a great match up at home. The Panthers top line has been on fire and are getting a Jets team that is still banged up on the blue line. I love this line for gpps as well. He is a lock for me.
Connor McDavid- I seem to write him up every time he plays. This game should be a faster then Vegas happens to think. Connor has points in his last five games, and his line has looked very good as of late.
Nathan MacKinnon- If I was paying up today at center it would be Mack. He has tremendous chance to get the shot total bonus on DK tonight. As long as normal line mates are hurt he will continue to shoot the puck more. Another great gpp stack.
Anze Kopitar– Believe it or not the Kings play at a fast pace, Kopitar has a nice streak going over his last four games. The Kings get a nice match up vs the Red Wings at home. I’ll continue to pick on them as there penalty kill looks as bad as it has.
Wingers
Nikita Kucherov– My top overall winger on the slate for me is Kucherov. The Bolts have the highest total on the slate, so I think you need atleast one tonight. I think his line is top overall gpp line as well.
Evander Kane– Kane has been on fire, I love that he has moved to the top line. The total is low which will drive his ownership down tonight. Kane is a high volume shooter who should be a perfect fit for DK.
Frank Vatrano– Skating on the Panthers second power play, on the team that has the highest projected goal total. Will be chalky on FD. I will lock him in on both sites. Love the match up for his line.
Jonas Donskoi– If your’e fading Mack, I suggest playing Donskoi tonight. Since skating on the top line and top power play his production has really gone up. Great value on FD.
Andrew Copp– My easy LOCK of the day, Copp has moved to the top power play tonight. He is way to cheap to fade on either site.
Timo Meier- Finally starting to come into his own. Skating on the power play is a bonus, he’s a great play on both sites. Has four points in his last four games.
Josh Leivo- As long he is on Vancouver’s top line he is in play for me. Doesn’t shot a lot which makes him more a gpp play for me.
Defensemen
Victor Hedman– Will assume his normal role on the top line and top power play. Since coming back from injury he has points in both games. Fade at your own risk!
Drew Doughty– Skating heavy minutes for the Kings. Doughty is far from scared to block shots as well. He’s close to lock for me. Facing the Wings who are just terrible when it comes to killing penalties.
Alex Edler- FD only play for me, stinks he’s moved off the top power play unit.
Erik Johnson– Skating with Mack on the top line and gets run on the teams second power play unit.
Cale Makar– Logging heavy minutes now, and playing on the AVS top power play unit. Has points in his four games. I love this price on FD.
Adam Fox- FD only play for me, skating on the Rangers top power play unit. Fox has been on fire as of late. Give him a close tonight. Top value play for me.
Goalies
Andrei Vasilevskiy- The Rangers have the lowest total on the slate, seems like the safest play tonight. I love the fact he is at home.
Jonathan Quick– More gpp on DK. I don’t mind him in cash on FD. He should be in line for the W as well. He had a few good starts in a row as well. The Kings play fast so the shoot volume will be there.
Jacob Markstrom- Has been hitting value on DK even when he looses. Dallas is starting to look better as well, which makes me think he could face a decent amount of shots.
Devin Dubnyk– Arizona’s total keeps dropping which is making me like Devin even more. Another who will face plenty of shots and should find the win. My DK cash goalie as of now.
