What’s up Karma Nation!
Happy Thursday Karma Nation! We finally have a decent sized slate tonight with some top teams going head to head. I am here to breakdown my favorite cash plays along with my favorite stacks of the night.
Center
Auston Matthews- My top overall play at center is the Leafs stud. This game is DFS goodness. He has five goals this season already and is close to a near lock on DK for me.
Connor McDavid- Mcjesus has been anything shy of great and gets a struggling Devils team. His line has been straight fire this. I’ll do my best to pair him with Matthews on DK.
Brayden Schenn- I think the Blues have a chance to turn things around tonight in Ottawa. I love Schenn price tag on both sites. He may be my UTL player on DK. Not to mention, he has goals in back to back games.
Dylan Larkin- Larkin’s price on DK is very nice. He’s a high volume shooter and runs his teams top power play. Larkin is also riding a three game point streak.
Wingers
Leon Draisaitl- If you can’t afford McDavid, I suggest you get Leon into your cash lineups. This dude has been insane to start the season. He is another high volume shooter who has 7 points already to start the season.
Dominik Kubalik- Good cash value guy. He skates on the 3rd line but sees over 15 minutes of ice time. Dominik can hit value tonight with ease in my opinion.
Anthony Mantha– Another good cash game play on both sites. Mantha has started the season off on the right foot. Mantha, like Larkin, shoots the puck at will. Montreal gives up a ton of shots. I like Mantha or Larkin in cash tonight.
Ondrej Kase- FD only play for me. Only $3,900 and he has 11 shots in three games to start the season. He’s a good value play on FD.
Steven Stamkos- I love this game tonight and I love Stammer even more. The dude loves to play in Canada and I expect this game to be fast paced. He shoots the puck every chance he gets.
Max Pacioretty– Don’t over think this play, he’s way to cheap on DK. Vegas has been on fire and Max is a reason why. I love this play in cash games.
Alex Nylander– Nylander is skating along Kane and Toews tonight. He’s under priced on FD. I am a fan of the Blackhawks tonight facing a bad SJ goaltender. I’ll have him in my FD cash line.
Jake Guentzel– Malkin and Hornqvist are still out, so Jake gets a boost in minutes and power play time. Pens haven’t looked that great so far, but it’s hard to ignore his roll tonight.
Defensemen
Brent Burns– I love the Sharks and Hawks game tonight. Burns is the one piece I want from the Sharks tonight. He’s averaging a point per game and skating more then 25 minutes of ice time. He’s a great DK play if you can afford him. Close to a must.
Matt Dumba– I love Dumba on both sites, but his tag is even nicer on DK. I love the idea of pairing him with Burns. Matt skates on the Wild’s top line and is averaging over 5 peripherals per game.
Jeff Petry– FD only play for me. This game will be fast paced and I expect Petry to get back on track tonight. He’s a peripheral machine and I don’t mind him in cash at all.
Kris Letang- I like the Pens to bounce back tonight. This is more of a GPP play for me. Letang runs the top power play and gets you Sid the kid exposure.
Roman Josi- I can write Josi up everyday. He does it all for the Preds. He had a two goal game and I could see him matching that tonight. Great GPP play.
Rasmus Andersson- On the Flames top line, easy way to get exposure to the Johnny Hockey line. He’s a great DK play. I love him as filler in gpps or a one off. Rasmus is getting shots and also some second line power play time.
Erik Gustafsson– Like I said, I love the Hawks game tonight. Erik is skating on the teams top line and top power play unit. One of my favorite plays of the day.
Goalies
Anders Nilsson– This a Dk only cash play for me. The shot volume is there for sure. I am scared he won’t get the W. If you play him tonight, you can play anyone you want in cash. We just need him not to die out there.
Carey Price- A little safer then Nilsson, Price will see around the same shots as Nilsson as well. The Canadians have a great chance to win the game as well.
Marc-Andre Fleury- Easy cash game play, Fleury has been on fire and they face a bad Arizona team. This is the safest play of the night. Is the shot volume there? We really don’t know, but I expect Vegas to win the game.
John Gibson- Favorite GPP goalie, Pens are hurt and Gibson has been on fire. The shot volume is there for sure. Love him tonight in GPPS.
