My Top DFS Plays did not help the bankroll last week!
Despite having one lineup using my spreadsheet scoring 545.0 points, it was not in the right tournament to bring home a profitable week.
If I had played that lineup in either one of my $10, 100-person tournaments, it would have finished first or second. But that’s how DFS goes sometimes.
Now, we head to Colorado for the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Castle Pines Golf Club (par 72, 8,1,30 yards) will play host to the BMW Championship.
Castle Pines represents the longest course in PGA Tour history, but thanks to its elevation, it will play closer to a 7,400-yard course. The winning score is still expected to reach 20 under.
The Top 30 at the end of this no-cut event will head to East Lake Golf Club for the Tour Championship.

Onto this week’s Top DFS Plays for the BMW Championship!
10K & Above
Scottie Scheffler ($12,300)
I know it has become a broken record all season – Scheffler is my top play in the 10K range.
Even though Castle Pines is so long, it may not matter to Scheffler, thanks to the course’s elevation.
Most of the approach shots should be in the 100-150 yards range, and Scheffler destroys those approach buckets.
He is first from 100-125 yards and ninth from 125-150 approach bucket.
Some other pundit’s spreadsheets may point to Xander Schauffele ($11,100) as this week’s top play, but Scheffler’s approach game will be the game changer on the Castle Pines course.
9K & Above
Wyndham Clark ($9,200)
My spreadsheet has Tony Finau ($9,700) as my third best play, but Clark may have the most experience at Castle Pines.
The PGA Tour has not played at the course since 2006, but Clark is a Colorado native and in his estimation, has played the course 30 times.
But it is his recent play that is the cherry on top for this pick.
He has four Top 15 finishes in four of his last five events. He has averaged at 67 a round in his last three non-cut events.
He’s due!
Starting your lineup with Clark and Finau will be a good way to be different against the large 10K group of golfers.
8K & Above
Aaron Rai ($8,600)
Rai’s run since the RBC Canadian Open has been impressive.
He has seven Top 20 finishes in his last eight events. His only bad event was The Open Championship where he finished 75th.
His lack distance may hamper him some this week, but his No. 1 accuracy off the tee makes up for the deficiency.
Plus, he has been one of the best approach players on Tour during his run. He’s 6th on Tour in SG: Approach.
7K & Above
Byeong Hun An ($7,700)
An has struggled since May with only one Top 20 finish since the Wells Fargo Championship.
But the Castle Pines course fits his game.
He ranks 4th on Tour in driving distance and his course fit at Castle Pines ranks 5th on my spreadsheet .
Plus he shot three rounds under 70 last week, marking the first time since his fourth-place finish at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
He’s trending in the right direction.
Punt Plays
My Punt Plays were successful last week, and this week my spreadsheet absolutely loves Max Greyserman ($6,300). His recent form was three Top 15 finishes before his first round 75 kept from finishing higher than T33 last week. Nick Dunlap ($6,900) and Eric Cole ($6,400) are two other Top DFS Plays I have my eye on this week.
