QB/RB/WR Stack
Philip Rivers/Austin Ekeler/Keenan Allen
The Los Angeles Chargers currently rank fifth in the NFL in total yards (408.3) per game through three weeks. They could be due for positive scoring regression, as they only rank 21st in the league in points (20.0) per game this season. They get an elite matchup against the Miami Dolphins, who are allowing a league-high 499.3 yards and 44.3 points per game this season. The Chargers are currently -16.5 point favorites in a game set at 43.5 points, giving them the highest implied team total on the slate at 30.0 points.
Philip Rivers has flashed early this season, recording 944 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions on 116 attempts. He also boasts a 66.4% completion percentage. Rivers struggled a bit on the road against the Detroit Lions, but he was able to scored 23.62 and 27.92 fantasy points against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, respectively. His favorite target has been Keenan Allen, who leads the NFL in targets (42), receptions (29), receiving yards (404), and air yards (495), while also ranking second in the league in receiving touchdowns (3). Furthermore, Allen has seen 6 red zone targets to go along with a respectable 11.8 aDOT. He’s as consistent of a receiver as their is at the moment, while also flashing slate-breaking upside. Through three games, Allen is averaging a healthy 31.2 fantasy points per game. Austin Ekeler saw his worst game of the season last week, but still scored 15.1 fantasy points. Overall, he’s averaging 26.3 fantasy points per game this season. Ekeler is leading the team with 38 rush attempts for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also ranks second on the team with 19 receptions for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns on 20 targets. Justin Jackson is likely to get some work in this game, but Ekeler should be the clear lead running back once again. This stack is one of the safest in the NFL, and the matchup is an added bonus.
QB/WR/WR Stack
Patrick Mahomes/Sammy Watkins/Mecole Hardman
The Kansas City Chiefs feature far and away the best passing attack in the NFL once again in 2019. Through three weeks, they are leading the league by a wide margin in passing yards (392.3) per game. The Kansas City offense also owns 10 passing touchdowns without any interceptions at this point in the season. They get a decent matchup against the Detroit Lions, who are allowing 269.3 passing yards per game this season. They have only given up four touchdowns through the air, while recording two interceptions. Still, the Chiefs are -6.5 point favorites in a game set at 53.5 points, and they are tied for the highest implied team total on the slate at 30.0 points.
Patrick Mahomes has avoided regression at this point in the season, as he has thrown for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns on 114 attempts. He has completed 71.9% of his passes in 2019 without throwing any interceptions thus far. He has scored 30+ fantasy points in each of his first three games this season. Sammy Watkins has been the leader of the receiver group with Tyreek Hill out. Through three games, he has posted 20 receptions for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns on 32 targets. He only owns a 9.2 aDOT in those games, but he’s also leading the NFL with 194 yards after catch (YAC). Watkins has cooled off a bit, scoring 22.3 fantasy points in his last two games after scoring 49.8 fantasy points against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Still, he’s playing 94.3% of the offensive snaps for Kansas City, meaning he comes with tremendous upside on a weekly basis. Mecole Hardman has played 71.7% of the snaps with Hill injured this season. He saw only one target against Jacksonville before recording 11 targets over his last two games. He turned those targets into 6 receptions for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hardman has multiple ways to score fantasy points, as he owns a 14.2 aDOT to go along with over 50% of his yards coming after the catch. Hardman is somewhat of a specialist at this point, but Kansas City is creative enough to get him the ball in great spots, as they have done in each of his last two games.
QB/WR/TE Stack
Russell Wilson/Tyler Lockett/Will Dissly
The Seattle Seahawks passing attack has found success early this season, as they are averaging 280.0 passing yards per game. That ranks 10th in the NFL through three games. Seattle owns seven passing touchdowns without throwing an interception this season, as well. They get a great matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, who are allowing 286.3 passing yards per game in 2019. They have also given up nine passing touchdowns without any interceptions this season. The Seahawks are -5 point favorites in a game set at 48 points, and they own an implied team total of 26.5 points this week.
Russell Wilson has found plenty of success in 2019, throwing for 901 yards and 7 touchdowns without any interceptions on 105 attempts. He has added 81 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground, as well. Wilson only scored 16.6 fantasy points in his first game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he has followed that up with 28.2 and 44.34 fantasy points performances against the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints. Tyler Lockett has been his top option, leading the Seahawks in targets (28), receptions (22), and receiving yards (277). He also ranks second on the team with two receiving touchdowns. Lockett is also tied for the lead on the team in red zone targets (3) early this season. He’s tied with Dissly, who also leads the team with three touchdowns. Dissly only saw two targets against the Cincinnati Bengals before recording 12 targets over his next two games. In those games, he has posted 11 receptions for 112 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had also scored 18.2 and 22.0 fantasy points in those contests. Arizona will be speeding the pace up in this game, and they have struggled against tight ends in each of their three games this season. Similarly to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Seattle Seahawks are one of the safest stacking options on the slate this week.
High Upside GPP Stack
Kyler Murray/Larry Fitzgerald/Christian Kirk
The Arizona Cardinals don’t necessarily possess an elite offense, but they have found plenty of success in terms of fantasy this season. Through three games, they are averaging 243.7 passing yards per game. They also own four passing touchdowns and three interceptions in those games. Arizona gets a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who are allowing their opponents to average 250.7 passing yards per game this season. They have also given up six passing touchdowns, while recording only one interception. The Cardinals are +5 point underdogs in a game set at 48 points, and they possess an implied team total of 21.5 points.
Kyler Murray has seen mixed results through three games this season. He has thrown for 830 yards with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 137 attempts. He has also added 86 yards on 14 attempts on the ground. Murray has scored 19+ fantasy points in each of his three games this season. In his only contest that he threw for less than 300 yards, he used his legs to find plenty of fantasy success. Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald are the two leaders of the Arizona passing attack. Kirk has recorded 20 receptions for 205 yards on 32 targets. He has seen 8+ targets in each of his three games this season, and he has found success thus far without finding the end zone. With that being said, he ranks second on the team with three red zone targets, suggesting he has more upside than he has flashed early on. Fitzgerald leads the team with six red zone targets, turning those into two receptions for five yards and two touchdowns. Overall, he has posted 18 receptions for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns on 31 targets this season. Fitzgerald also ranks 10th in the NFL with 324 air yards. Kirk and Fitzgerald have both seen 92% or more of the offensive snaps in 2019, and they make the top stacking options with Murray on this slate.
