The Cheap Seats – NFL DFS Week 9

Finally, we had a couple of nice plays with The Cheap Seats!

Denver rookie quarterback Bo Nix became one of many this season to take advantage of the Carolina porous defense.

Nix finished with 29.76 DraftKings points, which was the fourth highest overall points for the week.

The Tampa Bay wide receiver trio of Sterling Shepard, Jalen McMillan and Trey Palmer were duds. The Buccaneers TE Kyle Otton was the primary target in the receiving game last week.

Kalif Raymond scored twice on limited touches for Detroit last week. He scored on a 90-yard punt return and a 7-yard pass from Jeff Goff last week for his 15.4 DK points.

This week will be a little tougher to find those cheap gems with less games on the Main Slate.

Onto this week’s The Cheap Seats!

Quarterback

Justin Herbert, LA Chargers ($5,300)

Herbert has had a sluggish season but the Chargers have a seen an uptick in passing volume in recent weeks.

Herbert has thrown the ball 32 times or more in since the Chargers’ Week 5 bye.

He’s piled up 237 yards or more in those three games, while scoring 17.8 and 24.1 DK points the last two weeks.

Wide Receiver

Cedric Tillman, Cleveland ($4,300)

I really don’t understand why DK only upped Tillman’s price by a $1,000.

He’s seen 21 targets in his last two games and finished with 15 catches for 180 yards and two TDs.

The Chargers have a one of the best pass defenses in the league, but with Jameis Winston at QB, Tillman has a gunslinger passing him the ball.

Tight End

Will Dissly, LA Chargers ($3,100)

I’m sure you are seeing a pattern with my picks this week – stacking the Chargers-Brown matchup will be sneaky.

Dissly is part of the sneaky-sneaky.

He has seen 23 targets in his last three games and had a career game (8-81) during that stretch.

However, he has been the only TE target as Hayden Hurst appears to be nearing a return after practicing fully.

DK by the Numbers

Week 3

RB: Bo Nix 29.76.

WR: Sterling Shepard 4.8, Jalen McMillan 9.2, Trey Palmer 4.9, Kalif Raymond 15.4.
