The Cheap Seats – NFL DFS Week 3

OK, it was nice to have some points scored from my The Cheap Seats plays last week.

San Francisco’s Jordan Mason again filled in nicely for the injure Christian McCaffrey. Mason scored 20.4 DraftKings points and added his second rushing TD.

LA Rams’ Demarcus Robinson was serviceable with 7.0 DK points, and LA Rams’ Colby Parkinson was pedestrian with 2.2 DK points.

But now I’m on the right track and one of these plays is going win me and someone else a lot of money.

Onto this week’s The Cheap Seats plays!

Running Back

Cam Akers, Houston ($4,700)

Houston starting running back Joe Mixon hasn’t been officially ruled out for Sunday’s matchup vs. Minnesota, but he missed all three practices this week.

Along with Dameon Pierce already being ruled out, Akers will the man in the backfield by himself.

Last week he played well after Mixon left with an ankle injury. Akers finished with 32 rushing yards and added a reception for another three yards.

With no competition, Akers should see the bulk of the carries and the RB passing game work. Mixon has 6 catches in the first two games.

Wide Receiver

Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans ($5,300)

The pricing is still not correct for Shaheed.

He has a 23.7 percent target share through two games and ranks in the Top 10 in air yards share, ADOT, target quality rating and fantasy points per game.

Now he faces the leaky Philadelphia pass defense that is coming off of a home loss on a short week.

His speed should give the Eagles secondary fits.

Tight End

Eric Saubert, San Francisco ($2,500)

The 49ers offense is beset with a plethora of injuries, which now includes tight end George Kittle.

Kittle popped on the injury list with tightness in his hamstring after Wednesday practice. He has not practice since and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. LA Rams.

Saubert was involved last week in the passing as he hauled in this two targets for 26 yards. He also saw his snap count improve to 37 percent last week, compared to 26 percent in Week 1.

With Kittle expected to miss the Week 3 matchup, Saubert is the next man up in the productive San Fran offense.
