The Cheap Seats – NFL DFS Week 14

At least I’ve learned Gus Edwards is just too bad to mention in The Cheap Seats again!

Edwards, who was replacing the injured J.K. Dobbins for the LA Chargers, laid a big egg to the tune of 32 rushing yards and 1 reception for 1 yard.

But at least LA Rams’ Matthew Stafford and New England’s Kendrick Bourne were serviceable last week.

Stafford shrugged a bad first half to toss two TD passes, while Bourne hauled in all 3 of his targets for 39 yards.

This week’s DraftKings Main Slate will see the last week of the byes, but it’s the holiday season and NFL schedule begins its crazy season.

Let’s into this week’s The Cheap Seats!

Quarterback

Will Levis, Tennessee ($5,000)

Levis has a juicy matchup against the Jacksonville awful defense.

The Jags enter the game last in the league in pass defense, giving up 273.3 passing yards a game. This defense gets worse on the road as they have given up 293.7 passing yards this season.

As for Levis, he’s thrown 5 TD passes during the last three weeks while averaging 261.7 passing yards during that stretch.

All of Levis’ passing targets are healthy heading into this week which is an added bonus.

Running Back

Zach Charbonnet, Seattle ($4,800)

I know I’m making this call early, but Kenneth Walker III missed practice on both Thursday and Friday.

Missing one practice would have given Walker a chance to suit up on Sunday vs. Arizona, but I don’t think he will since it is an ankle/calf injury.

The Seahawks lead the NFC West by a game over the Cardinals and the LA Rams, so this game is must win to retain their division lead.

However, Charbonnet filled in well for the Walker when he missed two game early in the season. Charbonnet averaged 21.8 DK points in those two starts.

Wide Receiver

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee ($4,700)

Since I’m using Levis, why not double up with the Touchdown Maker, Westbrook-Ikhine?

Westbrook-Ikhine has scored a TD in 7 of his last 8 games. He may not put up any big stats but scoring TDs can be a difference in pay levels in contention of a DFS takedown.

But Levis has been targeting him more frequent in recent weeks. He has seen 28 targets in his last five games.

Give me the combo against this bad Jacksonville pass defense!

DK by the Numbers

RB: Gus Edwards 4.3.
