TOP FIVE STACKS/CORRELATION
Stack 1:
Patrick Mahomes- Chiefs: $7,800
JuJu Smith-Schuster- Chiefs: $5,700
Marquez Valdes-Scantling- Chiefs: $4,800
Kyler Murray- Cardinals: $7,500
Marquise Brown- Cardinals: $5,800
Rondale Moore- Cardinals: $4,600
(6 Players: $36,200 committed)
The Chiefs/Cardinals game in Week #1 should be the featured contest in any DFS lineup. Mahomes vs. Kyler with explosive weapons on both sides of the ball and two teams playing at a fast pace–this one won’t be a pitcher’s duel. You will have to get creative with cheaper options, but a lineup with this stack is possible.
Stack 2:
Dak Prescott- Cowboys: $7,300
CeeDee Lamb- Cowboys: $6,600
Tony Pollard- Cowboys: $4,900
Tom Brady- Buccaneers: $7,400
Julio Jones- Buccaneers: $5,400
Russell Gage- Buccaneers: $5,400
(6 Players: $37,000 committed)
The Buccaneers/Cowboys tilt could be a lot of fun. The Cowboys operating in the post-Amari Cooper era should feature the likes of CeeDee Lamb and Tony Pollard. On the other side, Chris Godwin is still fighting his way back from injury. I would be stunned if he suits up in this one. Godwins’ absence should provide ample opportunity for both Julio Jones and Russell Gage to find success in their Bucs’ debut.
Stack 3:
Justin Herbert- Chargers: $7,900
Mike Williams- Chargers: $5,800
Joshua Palmer- Chargers: $4,600
Derek Carr- Raiders: $6,800
Darren Waller- Raiders: $5,900
(5 Players: $31,000 committed)
The Chargers/Raiders can turn into one of the higher-scoring affairs of the weekend. The super stack option will require some creativity with some cheaper options i.e. Rhamondre Stevenson and Kadarius Toney, but feasible.
Stack 4:
Jalen Hurts- Eagles: $7,100
A.J. Brown- Eagles: $6,000
DeVonta Smith- Eagles: $5,200
Jared Goff- Lions: $6,400
D’Andre Swift- Lions: $6,100
T.J. Hockenson- Lions: $5,200
(6 Players: $36,000 committed)
The Eagles/Lions match-up has a ton of intrigue between the two teams, with aspirations for improvement in 2022. Again, you’ll have to get a bit creative with some cheaper options to make it work, but you can set up a Mega Stack here with both quarterbacks and their top pass-catching options.
Stack 5:
Lamar Jackson- Ravens: $7,400
Rashod Bateman- Ravens: $5,500
Mark Andrews- Ravens: $6,000
Elijah Moore- Jets: $5,200
(4 Players: $24,100 committed)
I am piling on here at this point, but I am All-In on the Ravens for the 2022 season, which includes Week #1. If the Ravens are feasting through the air, it will be the trio of Jackson, Bateman, and Andrews. I anticipate plenty of garbage time targets for Elijah Moore.
QB: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Lamar Jackson- Ravens: $7,400 at Jets
Jalen Hurts- Eagles: $7,100 at Lions
Trey Lance- 49ers: $6,900 at Bears
Kyler Murray- Cardinals: $7,500 vs. Chiefs
Justin Herbert- Chargers: $7,900 at Raiders
Patrick Mahomes- Chiefs: $7,800 at Cardinals
Tom Brady- Buccaneers: $7,400 at Cowboys
Joe Burrow- Bengals: $7,500 vs. Steelers
Dak Prescott- Cowboys: $7,300 vs. Buccaneers
Matt Ryan- Colts: $6,700 at Texans
Lamar Jackson remains the best buy relative to the cost of the position. Jackson should smash in the opener against a weak Jets defense. Jalen Hurts brings a loaded receiving group into Week #1. Hurts should have no problem finding success as a passer and a runner in this one. Week #1 will be the last time Trey Lance is under the 7K mark–take advantage of his $6,900 price tag.
RB: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Rhamondre Stevenson- Patriots $4,500 at Dolphins
D’Andre Swift- Lions: $6,100 vs. Eagles
Travis Etienne- Jaguars: $5,200 at Commanders
Saquon Barkley- Giants: $6,100 at Titans
Dalvin Cook- Vikings: $6,400 vs. Packers
Aaron Jones- Packers: $6,300 at Vikings
Alvin Kamara- Saints: $6,500 at Falcons
Nick Chubb- Browns: $6,000 at Panthers
Leonard Fournette- Buccaneers: $6,500 at Cowboys
Kenneth Gainwell- Eagles: $4,600 at Lions
Rhamondre Stevenson is the smash play of all smash plays. $4,500 for the most valuable Patriots’ back in a PPR format is ridiculous. I will continue to pound the table for D’Andre Swift. He is underrated in all DFS formats. Travis Etienne will be utilized as a runner and a receiver out of the backfield to exploit a Commander’s defense.
WR: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
A.J. Brown- Eagles: $6,000 at Lions
Mike Williams- Chargers: $5,800 vs. Raiders
Ja’Marr Chase- Bengals: $6,700 vs. Steelers
Diontae Johnson- Steelers: $5,400 at Bengals
Tee Higgins- Bengals: $6,200 vs. Steelers
Elijah Moore- Jets: $5,200 at Ravens
DeVonta Smith- Eagles: $5,200 at Lions
Kadarius Toney- Giants: $4,500 at Titans
Darnell Mooney- Bears: $5,500 vs. 49ers
Brandon Aiyuk- 49ers: $5,000 at Bears
The Jalen Hurts/A.J. Brown stack is my favorite heading into Week #1. Hurts and Brown have shown chemistry on and off the field leading up to the season. Mike Williams is the top receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers, and several DFS sites have not adjusted. Take advantage of the bargain while you still can. I like the prices on Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in a match-up where they should batter the Steelers secondary.
TE: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
George Kittle- 49ers: $5,600 at Bears
Pat Freiermuth- Steelers: $4,600 at Bengals
Darren Waller- Raiders: $5,900 at Chargers
T.J. Hockenson- Lions: $5,200 vs. Eagles
Daniel Bellinger- Giants: $4,000 at Titans
George Kittle is an absolute steal at $5,600. The last in the line of elite TE is a savvy play in Week #1. Pat Freiermuth should provide correlation in a Bengals/Steelers game that could be higher scoring than anticipated. Darren Waller is being utilized more in the red zone than ever before. Waller is one of my favorite plays at any position for Week #1.
