NFL DFS – Bales’ Favorite StatHero Stack for Week 16

The most important note for StatHero is their scoring system. It’s different from what you’re likely used to, and we need to note what the most important aspects are. Quarterbacks are far and away the most important position, specifically passing yards. They get 0.05 fantasy points for every 1 passing yard compared to only 0.1 fantasy points per 1 rushing or receiving yard. For instance, a quarterback would receive 15 fantasy points for 300 yards passing. He would need 3.75 passing touchdowns to reach that. Running backs and receivers would need 1,50 yards to hit that number. They would need 2.5 touchdowns to score 15 fantasy points.

Tight ends are another major part of their scoring. They will receive 1.5 fantasy points per reception while running backs and wide receivers only receive 1 fantasy point per reception. With StatHero’s current scoring system, it could be a key to stack a team with a dominant quarterback and tight end pairing to go along with the other options on the offense.

The final scoring that could make or break your lineup is the distance bonus. Quarterbacks receive a slightly smaller bonus for long passing touchdowns, while running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends get a bit more of a bonus for touchdowns. Ultimately, you want touchdowns to come from 10+ yards out, which is the distance the bonus’ starts at.

Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts/Miles Sanders/Dallas Goedert

Hurts recently took over for Carson Wentz, flashing elite upside. Through 2 starts, he’s thrown for 505 yards and 4 touchdowns on 74 pass attempts. He also added 169 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. Hurts gets an elite matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, who are giving up 221.8 passing yards per game and 7.9 adjusted yards per attempt this season. They’ve also allowed a league-high 31 passing touchdowns and a 6.9% passing touchdown rate through 14 games. The Philadelphia Eagles are -2 point favorites in a game set at 49.5 points, giving them an implied team total of 25.8 points.

Sanders has flashed upside while struggling in a surprisingly limited role this season. He’s played only 55% of the offensive snaps, although he’s only played in 11 games. Sanders’ posted 810 yards and 5 touchdowns on 149 carries. He also owns 24 receptions for 170 yards on 46 targets. In only 2 games with Hurts as the starter, Sanders owns 226 total yards and 2 touchdowns. He owns 80 yards and 3 touchdowns on 21 red zone carries, although he hasn’t been involved in the red zone passing offense. Dallas is allowing a league-high 161.8 rushing yards per game and 5.0 yards per carry. They’ve also given up 18 rushing touchdowns through 14 games. Sanders gains value from Hurts’ ability to run the read option, making him a must-start in this matchup.

Goedert’s seen mixed results, playing 53% of the offensive this season. He owns 43 receptions for 486 yards and 3 touchdowns on 62 targets. He’s recorded 8 receptions for 82 yards on 14 targets in his 2 full games with Hurts. Goedert’s posted 5 receptions for 32 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 red zone targets this season. He’s seen 561 air yards with an 8.9 aDOT this season, accounting for 12.1% of Philadelphia’s air yards. Goedert is one of Hurts’ top options, and he’ll benefit from the scoring on StatHero.
