Joey’s Thursday Night Football Showdown Throwdown NO @ DAL

Hello DFS Grinders and Welcome back to another one of my Thursday Night Football Showdown Throwdown article. We’ve got a good one tonight the Saints are probably the best team in the league and seem to get better every game as the Defense gets back to being great. Hopefully this game will be closer than the last time the saints played an NFC East opponent the Eagles. There is some great fantasy value here I don’t like playing Thursday night players on the Thursday-Monday slate but I love a bunch of these guys. The Vegas line is currently 52 with the Saints as a  point favorite so there should be some good scoring for a Thursday Night Football game.

If I don’t mention a guy it doesn’t mean he is a bad play it just means he isn’t someone I will look to build a roster around if I fall on him sometimes I just play a guy because he fits after using the main guys I wanted.

Studs/MVP Candidates

Drew Brees: The top MVP candidate of the league highlights my top MVP candidates for the game. He has been killing it this year and the only thing stopping Brees from putting up huge numbers is their D giving him great field position from turnovers or Kamara/Ingram running in for 4 TDs.

Alvin Kamara: When Ingram came back I would have assumed that his production would have gone down but that’s not the case at all, he’s been just as good. We have another guy coming off a poor performance last week but should easily have a nice bounce back game here. He’s probably my favorite play for outside of Brees. I love to target these LBs in the passing game and we could see a huge game from Kamara in the air today with these WRs in tough matchups. If you are paying up for CPT he might be my favorite expensive CPT.

Michael Thomas: The perfect stack to go with Brees is Michael Thomas after one of his worst performance of his career Thomas is ready to get back out there and dominate this Cowboys secondary. Yes the Cowboys CBs have been good this year but he’s one of those WR1s that lineup in the slot as well and dominates there. Although he only lines up in the slot on 32% of his routes they try to line him up there as much as they can to create mismatches.

Ezekiel Elliot: This play really scares me. He’s dealing with a hip injury and has a banged up offensive line. To go along with that the Saints are the number 1 run defense in the league. All this leads me to want to fade him but I could see him being low owned with all the other safe plays out there. This play is if you want to get crazy and have a contrarian play because he’s good enough to overcome the adversity.

Dak Prescott: He’s not my favorite play but QBs are always in play especially with Zeke in a tough matchup he might need to be relied on to produce and keep the Cowboys in the game.  He has the upset on the ground as well, we saw him get into the endzone rushing last game.

Middle Tier

I’m looking to fade Cooper tonight. I know he’s coming off a huge game, but both of his touchdowns and 60% of his yards came off of easy missed tackles. i think a lot of ownership will flood to him after that huge game so he is someone I wanted to avoid tonight.

Cole Beasley: This is my lock of the century for single games on DK he’s just way to cheap. You should throw him into your Thurs-Mon lineups as well. New Orleans D has been killed by slot receivers. PJ Williams is the biggest weak spot on that defense who looks like they are coming back around to one of the best in the league. Beasley is one of my favorite CPTs on DK which will help you pay up for the studs.

Tre’Quan Smith: He has cemented himself into the WR2 spot. He has been a full participant in cash so I have no issue with him coming back from Injury. He’s very cheap on DK coming right off a 13 target game. The Cowboys will be busy trying to control all the talent on the Saints he could have a sneaky huge game.

Defense/Kickers

With the Cowboys offensive line banged up plus their star player Elliot banged up as well we could see this Saints defense kill value here. They’ve been killing it the past couple games and they could be getting another top performance here again.

Kickers here are in a fine spot nothing too good but I could definitely them working out here to help with value but it’s not the way I’m going with other value I prefer in this game.

Cheap tier

Michael Gallup: Hes cheap Tier for FD but middle tier for DK. I like the lay on both sites but on FD at min prices he’s perfect. 3 catches in the past 2 games doesn’t really look that great but what really stands out to me is the 11 targets. We are getting a high volume guy at an extreme discount. While everyone will be chasing the Amari Cooper games I’m just looking at Beasley and Gallup.

Dan Arnold: I feel like I’m chasing here but at only 1.8k I think he could be worth a shot. He saw 6 targets on only 11 routes run. What I liked about this is they were really looking to get him the ball and with only 12 snaps they didn’t want him run blocking so when he’s in here’s getting targets. As good as these
