Jonathan Taylor vs. Miami Dolphins

With a tough schedule to start the season, the Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Taylor have gotten off to a lackluster start. The more concerning point for Taylor’s fantasy outlook has been the insistent usage of Nyheim Hines. The passing work was to be expected, but with Hines getting goal-line carries and touchdowns, there are Taylor fantasy managers in a full-blown panic. I attribute a lot of Hines’ usage to the fact that the Colts have dealt with negative game scripts in all three of their games this year. A Miami team without starting QB Tua Tagovailoa should be a much easier matchup for the struggling Colts. Taylor is currently the RB28 in Full-PPR scoring formats and has done this all without scoring a single touchdown this season. History tells us a player of Taylor’s talent and usage will regress to the mean in this category. Miami’s defense is ranked 31st against opposing RBs for fantasy points allowed, so I think this is the perfect opportunity for a “get right” game for Taylor. He should capitalize on a plus matchup and ease the concerns of Taylor managers near and far. I’m expecting around 100 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD for Taylor this week.

Tim Patrick vs. Baltimore Ravens

Tim Patrick has quietly put together 3 weeks in a row of double-digit fantasy points in Full-PPR leagues. He has posted 13.90, 12.70, and 14.80 points in the past 3 games. With K.J. Hamler out for the season due to a torn ACL, Patrick should be in a prime spot to produce as a fantasy WR2 or quality flex option for your team this week. The Ravens are middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing WRs this year, so I’d expect Patrick to post anywhere from 15-20 PPR points this week.

Evan Engram vs. New Orleans Saints

There’s something to be said about the scarcity of viable receiving options when targeting usable fantasy tight ends, and that’s the category Engram finds himself in this week. I’m not a huge fan of Engram in general, but this week feels like as good a week as any to stream Engram in your TE1 spot. With Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepherd both injured last week with hamstring injuries, Engram should be the prime beneficiary of those vacated targets. He had 6 targets last week in his first game back from injury, so it’s obvious the Giants want to get him involved in the passing game. I don’t see a massive ceiling for Engram in a tough matchup against the Saints’ defense, but I think 10-14 PPR points is well within his feasible range of outcomes.
