RB Darrell Henderson vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Darrell Henderson has had a hot start to the season, coming in as the RB9 overall in full-PPR scoring formats. However, if you have a better pivot option on your bench this week when evaluating matchups, I’d suggest you find a way to get that person in your lineup over Henderson. Henderson got banged up late in last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Rams Head Coach Sean McVay has reported that Henderson is dealing with a rib cartilage injury, making him questionable for this Sunday. McVay has also said Sony Michel will get the start over Henderson this week, so they don’t overutilize him. With all the red flags surrounding Henderson this week, along with the tough matchup against the stellar Bucs run defense, I’m sitting Henderson. I’d expect to see a diminished workload for him this week and possibly longer, depending on how bad his injury is.

RB James Robinson vs. Arizona Cardinals

When you look at this player and matchup on paper you think “well the Cardinals defense isn’t any good, so I have to play Robinson.” When you dig a little deeper, you’ll see that’s simply not true. For one, Robinson’s usage has to be highly concerning for fantasy managers. Urban Meyer has seemed to prefer incessantly giving touches to Carlos Hyde over Robinson. Beyond that, the Cardinals have been the 11th best defense against fantasy running backs so far this season. Their defense is much improved compared to last year and with Robinson’s concerning usage, he’s a full-on fade for me this week in all formats.

RB Zack Moss vs. Washington Football Team

I know, Zack Moss was like the undertaker coming out of the coffin with the two rushing touchdowns he had last week, but take a closer look at his efficiency metrics and not just his fantasy output. He only averaged 3.25 yards per carry against a Miami run defense that is not as good as the Washington Football Team, who just held Giants running back Saquon Barkley to 8.9 PPR fantasy points. The Washington Football Team defense is 6th best against running backs for fantasy. Devin Singletary has emerged as the leader in this committee backfield as well, so I’m not starting Moss unless I’m in absolute desperation mode, and then you hope he falls into the end zone again.
