1. RB Zack Moss vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Everyone has been talked about the Steelers this week because one of the best defensive players in the league in T.J. Watt just signed one of the most expensive contracts in NFL history. The Steelers still have a Top-5 overall defense. Their run defense would be considered the best if it weren’t for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominating that category. Their defense, a non-commitment to running the football, and an iffy overall Zack Moss are making me bench him anywhere I have him this week. This is probably the worst matchup of the week for any player. If you’re desperate, I recommend looking to the waiver wire instead of rolling the dice on Moss this week.

2. WR Kenny Golladay vs. Denver Broncos

Believe it or not, the Denver Broncos have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Coupling this with the fact that Kenny Golladay has hardly gotten any practice reps in with Daniel Jones due to a lingering hamstring injury, and Golladay himself saying he could start the year slowly, and there is no way I am putting Golladay in my lineup–unless I have no other options. Golladay could always catch a touchdown, which he’ll likely need to have a usable fantasy week. This Giants game could be gross to watch overall with a slow pace of play and not many points scored.

3. TE Mike Gesicki vs. New England Patriots

When healthy, the New England Patriots have always boasted an above-average defense. With the defensive additions via free agency this offseason, I expect the Patriots’ defense to be much improved from last season. I think Gesicki presents little to no ceiling upside in a game that could be a slower pace and dominated by the run game. Much like Golladay, he’ll need a touchdown to truly help your fantasy team this week.
