College Football DFS FanDuel Plays for Week 9

High-Tier

D’Eriq King, QB, Houston ($10,500)

Houston is the perfect team to stack, and it starts with King. He has totaled 1,984 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns in six games. He also added 281 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground this season. King has scored 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he has scored 35+ fantasy points in five of his six games this season. Houston is a -7.5 point favorite in a game set at 72 points, as well. King has recorded the majority of Houston’s offensive production, and he’s an elite option in all leagues today.

Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue ($9,500)

Moore has been enjoying a phenomenal freshman season. He’s averaging 8.1 receptions for 104.0 yards and 1.0 touchdown per game this season. He has also added 163 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Moore has recorded eight receptions or 100 yards in six of his seven games this season, and he’s coming off of a ridiculous 12/170/2 line against Ohio State last week. Moore has been relatively matchup proof this season, and Purdue could be throwing early and often in this game.

Mid-Tier

Blake Barnett, QB, USF ($9,300)

Barnett has featured plenty of ups and downs throughout the season, but he has flashed tremendous upside through six games. He has scored 26+ fantasy points in three of his six games, including last week against Connecticut. Barnett has only totaled 1,810 yards and 10 touchdowns through the air this season, but he has added 227 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. As mentioned above, this game will feature plenty of points, and Barnett is a bit cheaper of an option that can be considered.

Kelvin Harmon, WR, NC State ($8,600)

Harmon is coming off of his worst game of the season, recording only two receptions for 13 yards against Clemson. In his four games before that, Harmon averaged 7.3 receptions for 125.3 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game. He’ll get a significantly easier matchup against Syracuse today, and this game should feature plenty of scoring. Harmon has been a featured option in NC State’s passing attack, and he should get back on track this weekend.

Low-Tier

Courtney Lark, WR, Houston ($8,000)

Lark is surprisingly cheap on this slate. He’s the third receiver on Houston in terms of fantasy points per game, but he ranks second on the team in receptions. He only has four touchdowns on the season, which has kept his fantasy production somewhat low, but he has scored in each of the last two weeks. Lark does come with some risk, but taking a salary relief option in the highest projected scoring game on the slate is never a bad option.

Kennedy Brooks, RB, Oklahoma ($7,700)

This is an extremely risky pick, but checks the majority of the boxes. Brooks flashed last week, totaling 176 yards and one touchdown on 20 touches. He could potentially split carries with Trey Sermon, who is dealing with an injury, but probable to play today. Brooks is averaging 10.9 yards per carry, and Oklahoma is a -23 point favorite in this game. He could see some garbage time carries in a game set at 64 total points.
