Top Tier

QB: Ian Book (ND):  FD 9,500  DK 7,500

Wow, we finally have a slate with no Hurts this week!  Ian Book is the guy  this week and he his facing Virginia Tech and their 112th ranked pass defense.   Virginia Tech is allowing 282 yards per game through the air this year, and over 165 yards per game on the ground.  This is a game where Book should shine.  Book is very capable of beating defenses with his legs, which gives us an even higher ceiling for him this week, as he should have opportunities for rushing touchdowns.  I have a lot of confidence in this Notre Dame defense this week and think they should score in bunches.

Also consider:  Dillon Gabriel (UCF); Khalil Tate (Arizona) DK Only

RB: Kenneth Gainwell (MEM): FD 10,300

Gainwell is playing out of his mind right now.  Memphis will be facing SMU this weekend in a top 25 match up.  College Game Day will actually be in Memphis this week for the big game.  SMU has been pretty stout this year vs the run, only allowing 118 yards per game.  Though they have been tough vs the run, I don’t think that is going to matter for Gainwell because he offers more than just rushing ability, he can take short passes to the house.  He is one of the most explosive athletes in the country.  I expect Gainwell to continue his success and have a huge game.

Also consider: Chuba Hubbard (OKST); Xavier Jones (SMU); Cam Akers (FSU)

WR: Gabriel Davis (UCF):  FD 9,600  DK 7,600

UCF will be facing Houston this weekend in a match up that should be very one sided.  Davis has been playing at an elite  level this year and this week he will be going up a Houston secondary that is allowing around 300 yards per game through the air.  Dillon Gabriel should be targeting his top target in Davis often in this game and on a slate where we have plenty of value at running back I will be looking to get as many stud wide receivers in my lineup that I can.  UCF has an elite offense and I will look to get plenty of them in my lineup this week facing one of the worst defenses in the country.

Also consider: Sage Surratt (WF); Jame Proche (SMU); S. Robinson (KU); Isaiah Hodgins (Oregon State) DK only

Mid Tier

QB: Max Duggan (TCU): FD 8,400  DK 6,300

Duggan has started playing some really good football over the past two weeks.  Over the last two weeks he has 400 yards passing 2 passing touchdowns with 187 yards on the ground and 2 rushing touchdowns.   He will be facing a very weak OK state defense this week, which means he has a great chance to keep producing at a high level.  OK state has allowed 290 passing yards per game and 163 rush yards per game.  OK state is also allowing 32 ppg.  I really like how this TCU offense has been evolving over the last few weeks, and I expect them to execute many big plays against this defense.

Also consider: Bo Nix (AUB); Skylar Thompson (KSU); Adrian Martinez (NEB); B. White (MEM)

RB: Otis Anderson (UCF):  FD 7,800  DK 5,400

Again, UCF is in an elite spot this week vs. a very weak Houston defense.  With Greg McCrae out with an injury Anderson was given a few more opportunities in the run game, and he did not disappoint.  Anderson ran for 205 yards on 17 carries last week and also got into the end zone once.   I love Anderson this week at his price, especially with McCrae confirmed out.  Andersons role in this offense should be similar to last week, if not increased even more.

Also consider: CJ Verdell (ORE); Darius Anderson (TCU); D’Andre Swift (UGA); J. Taylor (Arizona) DK Only

WR: Wan’Dale Robinson (NEB):  FD 8,200  DK 5,900

Robinson is a stud play maker and Scott Frost is doing everything he can to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.  I cannot believe that his price has not increased on either site.  Robinson saw 22 carries out of the backfield last week and also added in 6 receptions.  Robinson is a Swiss army knife and can do just about anything.  At his price I don’t see how he isn’t a must play this week vs. Purdue.  The Boilermakers are giving up 240 yards per game through the air, and 168 rush yards per game.  I love Robinson this week, and until they raise his price I will continue to lock him in!

Also consider:  JD Spielmen (NEB); Ronnie Bell (MICH); C. Claypool (ND); T. Vaughns (USC); D. Bell (PUR)

Value:

RB: J. Armstrong (ND): FD 4,200  DK 4,200

This is one of my top value plays on the slate.  Kelly has came out and said that Armstrongs role in the offense is going to be significantly expanded.  T. Jones Jr. is questionable right now, and if he ends up being ruled out Armstrong makes for one of the best plays on the slate.  He already is one of the best plays due to his extremely low price tag.  This is going to be a very good match-up for Armstrong as Virginia Tech is allowing 166 rush yards per game.  If you plug him into your FD and DK line ups you can do about anything you want.

Other value plays

WR Taye Barber (TCU)- Great Value play if you decide to pay up for RB; WR Kadarius Toney (FLA); RB H. Haskins (MICH) – He is a better value play on DK than Armstrong is, strong play on FD as well; QB Tommy Devito (SYR)

  • I love the Arizona and Oregon State game stack on the DK slate
