Alright Karma Nation, we have us a decent 3 game slate coming up on Friday. In this article I will highlight a few plays that will help lead you to victory! I will provide you with a QB, RB and WR that rate high for me. I will also provide two or three value plays that you can plug into your lineups that will help open up salary for some of the studs! Remember go lighter on these 3 game slates and save up for the big main slate on Saturday. I will have my article out for Saturdays Main slate on Friday afternoon, so make sure you come back and check that out!
Top Plays
QB: J’Mar Smith(Louisiana Tech) FD 8,400 ; DK 5,700
I love the Louisiana Tech offense this week against an FIU team that gives up big numbers through the air. FIU’s defense is averaging giving up 220 yds through the air, while also allowing 26.3 ppg on the season thus far. FIU also ranks 117th in the county in defensive efficiency. The only downside to J’Mar is that he does not offer much on the ground, but can get some when he needs too. Louisiana Tech’s offense overall is in a great spot this week and I will have more from LT than just J’Mar.
RB: Zack Moss (Utah) FD 10,000 ; DK 7,600
LOCK! Zack Moss will be facing a USC defense that has struggled early on in stopping opposing teams rushing game. Utah loves to get things rolling on the ground early to establish their dominance on the line of scrimmage. Utah is a physical football team and will run right at you. Moss is a true bell-cow back and I can see anywhere from 25-30 carries for him in this match up vs the Trojans. Zack Moss is the top back on this slate by a mile and is my lock of the slate. He has tremendous upside and as safe a floor as you will find on this slate.
WR: Tyler Vaughns(USC) FD 9,800 ; DK 7,300; Michael Pittman(USC) FD 8,400 ; DK 5,600
USC and their Air Raid offense will be back @ home this week facing a tough conference opponent in Utah. Utah is a tough and physical football team and their defense is their identity. USC loves to air the ball out, and that plays straight into the Utah defenses weakness. Utah has a very strong rush defense but is lacking on the back end to start the season. In a match up that should be close I will take a chance on a high powered offense playing at home. I expect Vaughns and Pittman to be busy in this game, both should receive plenty of targets, especially if St. Brown is ruled out. I like pairing the two together with Slovis in gpp’s. Actually, Slovis’s top target since taking over as the QB has been Pittman, so I favor him slightly to Vaughns if choosing!
*Make sure to get a Boise stack tomorrow. Their offense loves to play FAST! The Air Force defense will not keep up the success they have had over the first two games, at least not against this high powered offense. I expect this Boise offense to put up BIG numbers!
