Top Plays

QB: Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma):  FD 11,800  DK 9,000

Just play him.  His ceiling is incredible right now.  I have wrote him up weekly.  West Virginia will not be able to slow him down.  His price is starting to get a little high, but I don’t think he has reached a point where you can fade him yet.  Hurts is averaging almost 300 yards passing, almost 100 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns per game.  He legit has 60 point upside in this game!

Also consider: J. Burrow (LSU); S. Ehlinger (TEX)

RB:  Chubba Hubbard (Oklahoma St.):  FD 10,500  DK 8,300

Hubbard has been incredible to start the season.  He is definitely a high volume running back, averaging 27 rush attempts per game.  Chubba has 1094 rush yards on the year with 13 touchdowns.  He is averaging 182 yards per game and almost 7 yards per rush.  I think he is by far the top running back play on this slate, especially on DK.  Baylor has played pretty good on the defensive side of the ball this year, but in an uptempo game that is one of the highest totals on the slate, I think the opportunity is going to be there for Hubbard.  His volume is there and I expect a big game from him this week.

FD Only play: Jonathan Taylor (Wis) 10,800: Great Play this week.  Coin toss between Taylor and Hubbard on FD.

WR: Justin Jefferson (LSU):  FD 9,700  DK 7,300

Since the injury to Terrace Marshall, Jefferson’s targets have had a nice bump.  The last 2 games Jefferson has accumulated 19 receptions for 278 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Both him and Chase can go off in any game, but seeing the uptick in targets that Jefferson is seeing since the injury to Marshall makes me lean a little more towards him this week.  Mississippi State is middle of the pack when it comes to yards allowed through the air, allowing over 230 passing yards per game.  Burrow should have a big game this week, thus resulting in his receivers having big games.  I do think you can easily target Ceedee Lamb on this slate, to stack with Hurts.  However, the amount of targets Jefferson is seeing right now and his expanded role in the LSU high powered offense cannot go unnoticed.  Jefferson is my #1 receiver this week with Lamb a close 2nd.

Also consider: C. Lamb (OU); Sage Suratt (WF); J. Chase (LSU)

Mid Tier

QB: Kelly Bryant (MIZZ): DK 6,900

This is a Draftkings only play here.  Kelly Bryant has played really good football lately, and this week he gets a match-up with one of the worst defenses in college football.  Bryant has 1575 passing yards so far this year with 12 touchdowns.  He has not had to use his rushing ability to much this year, but has the ability to make big plays with his legs.  Vandy has a very undisciplined defense and has a knack for giving up big plays.  I expect this game to get out of hand early, but expect the damage to be done by Bryant.  He has only had 1 rushing touchdown this year, but I can see him adding to his rushing touchdown total this week.  I love playing him and Hurts together on DK.

Also Consider: K. Mond (TA&M)- Really like him; T. Lawrence (CLEM)

RB: Travis Etienne (CLEM): FD 8,700  DK 7,000

Last week I was able to play Etienne on DK at sub 5% ownership, which is insane with the upside he possesses weekly.  Etienne’s low volume scares some away, but he is capable of taking every carry to the house.  Etienne is averaging 14 carries per game, almost 100 rush yards per game and 7 yards per carry.  The tigers are big favorites in this game and should run the ball quite a bit.   Louisville is allowing over 180 rush yards per game, making this a very good match-up for Etienne and the Clemson Tigers.  He is way to cheap on FD for the upside he has in this match-up.

Also consider: C. Edwards-Helaire (LSU); D’Andre Swift (UGA); C. Akers (FSU)

WR: Justyn Ross (CLEM):  FD 8,000  DK 5,800 & Tee Higgins (CLEM) FD 8,500 DK 6,200

Staying with Clemson here.  This game has one of the highest totals on the slate and I want to get plenty of pieces to this high powered offense.  Last week, Clemson showed us what they can do when they are clicking on all cylinders.  I mentioned above how poor Louisville’s run defense is, their pass defense is even worse.  They are allowing over 309 yards per game through the air.  Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins are both big play threats for the Tigers, and they will have every opportunity this week to make numerous big plays.  Tee Higgins is averaging 24 yards per reception on the year and Ross is averaging over 12 yards per reception.  Both Higgins and Ross have 3 touchdowns each as well.  At only 8k and 8.5k on FD I think they make for a very strong play.

Also Consider:  L. Bowden (Kentucky);  D. Fitzpatrick & C. Atwell (LOU); K. Hinton (WF)

Value:

QB: Garrett Shrader (MSST):  FD 7,400  DK 5,900

Shrader has been named the starter this week for the Bulldogs match-up vs the LSU Tigers.  LSU’s defense has not been very good this year giving up 23 points per game.  LSU is allowing over 220 yards passing per game, and over 100 yards rushing per game.  Shrader offers plenty of rushing upside.  For his price he does not have to do a whole lot to hit value for us.  On FD, with little value in skill positions, it may be wise to use a value QB in your super flex spot and pay up at RB and WR.

Also consider: Jake Fromm (UGA); Bryce Perkins (UVA); M. Cunningham (LOU) if playing

RB Value: K. Brooks (OU); J. Lovett (BAY); I. Spiller (TA&M)- really good value

WR Value: G. Pickens (UGA); R.J  Sneed (BAY); A. Smith (TA&M); R. Bell (MICH); A. Rogers (CLEM); D. Jones (ISU); S. Dawkins (LOU)
