Jason outlined Zach Ertz well in his NFL Red Zone Targets article, and I’ll follow suit here. He has only scored 15+ fantasy points in one of his three games this season. He saw 16 targets against the Atlanta Falcons, while seeing 7 targets against the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins. Most importantly, Ertz ranks third in the NFL in red zone targets (6), although he has yet to catch a touchdown this season. While relying on touchdowns is difficult, especially in a potentially low scoring game, Ertz is a nearly lock for the over if he finds the end zone. He also has the potential to hit the over without scoring a touchdown, adding to his value at this total. The Green Bay Packers have also featured a dominant secondary in 2019, and utilizing one of the best tight ends in the NFL would be wise for Philadelphia this week.
The Aaron Jones/Jamaal Williams backfield has been one of the weirdest in the NFL for quite some time. Jones is seemingly significantly better, but Williams continues to steal snaps. The latter played 61% of Green Bay’s offensive snaps last week, but Jones was dealing with a shoulder injury. In three games this season, Williams has scored more than 9.4 fantasy points, but that was due to extended snaps and a receiving touchdown. In the first game of the season, which was close throughout, Williams scored only 3.5 fantasy points on 7 touches, while playing 41% of the offensive snaps. The Philadelphia Eagles possess a strong run defense, and Green Bay will likely need to find success with their passing attack this week. Williams could see limited touches, and he isn’t likely to find success in this particular matchup.
