Over Under 2/2 – New York Giants/New England Patriots
James White has been a big part of the New England Patriots passing attack this season, recording 22 receptions for 178 yards and 1 touchdown on 30 targets. He only caught three passes on four targets in a blowout win against the Miami Dolphins, playing only 22 offensive snaps in that game. In his other three games, he’s averaging 6.3 receptions on 8.7 targets per game. This game has the potential to be a blowout, but I don’t expect it to get as out of hand as the Miami game, especially early on. White ranks third on the Patriots in targets, and 3.8 aDOT suggests he’ll continue to see easy targets.
Darius Slayton, on the other hand, is playing for a team that is expected to be throwing from the start of the game to the end of the game. He has seen a 17.3 aDOT in 2019, and he may only need a couple receptions to find the over in this total. He should be in line for more work this week, as well, as the New York Giants will be playing without Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, and Evan Engram tonight. Slayton has seen 5 targets in 2 games this season, posting 62 and 82 yards in those games. This total is far too low for his potential volume tonight.
