Sriracha’s LPL/LCK DFS Breakdown- 7/2/20

What’s up everyone! Yesterday was a pretty odd slate with a couple substitutions and odd approaches to the drafts and gameplay as well. Today, hopefully there are no shenanigans, as we have an amazing 4 game slate with some pretty great matchups. Let’s get right into it!

CASH

AF (-370) vs HLE

The LCK has really picked up the pace as a whole this split, and I really like the way AF matches up with HLE here. AF has advantages in almost every category, and I really would like them to take their lane advantages in top/jng/mid and open up the rift for the rest of the team. The bot lane will be pretty close, and if HLE have any chance at winning this series they have to get Viper and Lehends going early, as Mystic and Ben have been playing well in their own right. AF will likely be my safe cash option here, as Mystic, Fly and Kiin have scored really well in wins in addition, Mystic with a 77% KP bodes well for his fantasy upside. Those 3 will be by focuses on tonight’s slate, as I predict AF winning 2-0.

DRX (-500) vs DYN

DRX is a weird team to me, sometimes they go for this all in engage comp and that results in high kill games, and sometimes they just play textbook league of legends, farm, dive, snowball. DRX can honestly be used in any format, as they have a decently high ceiling depending on their draft comp, but it could also be limited depending on their approach. However they have a nice floor as I think they win 2-0 here. They will probably find their way into people’s lineups tonight and see some ownership. The entire team is in play.

GPP

JDG (-150) vs WE

JDG hasn’t played all that well this split, losing to the two top teams, when they should be showing that they can repeat their success of the Spring Split. However, they’ve dominated the bottom feeders, which they should. Something here that is important to me is they have advantages in the GD @15, and DPM. WE has a better early game, as they have better first blood, turret and a better DRA%. However, they play somewhat of an “all in” style when it comes to engagements, which I think JDG will outplay. On top of that, JDG has a great coach, in which I think they’ll prioritize banning away Graves & Galio for Beishang and Teacherma. This series should be bloody, and I think whoever walks away victorious will be in the top GPP lineups. I personally think JDG takes this, and will have exposure to them everywhere, but both sides can be used. It will definitely be a great series. Prioritize Zoom, Kanavi, Loken

RW (+125) vs OMG

I started off the day liking OMG, as they had advantages in almost every major category. However, rewatching RW’s series vs JDG, I realized that they’ve steadily improved, starting with Haro playing every game in a series and starting, finally. Their schedule has been absolutely brutal, literally playing all teams that could be deep in the playoffs this split. RW love to engage, their comp is all about team fights, and that is something OMG struggles with. OMG likes to play textbook league of legends, and that’s been their approach, taking over the early game and snowballing from there. I will admit that they are better than RW in almost every category, so using them is not something I am against. However I will be going with RW here, to pick up their first series victory with a 2-1 series against OMG. Just be careful here, OMG doesn’t engage much, so RW could score less than a JDG team stack for example. That being said, RW are in desperate need for a win, and it should come tonight. Look for Haro/Ruby/Zwuji here.
