Slate Thoughts:
- Tonight we have a round-robin between 4 different squads. We have G2, SN, TL, and MCX. DraftKings will be scoring the contest over three different games. So players you chose from each squad will accrue points from all three of their games, even though they will be facing a new team each game. All of these matches are a Best of 1 series.
- G2 are favored in every single contest tonight, and make for the safest play across the board. G2 has been up and down thus far in Worlds, but I really like them to be able to take care of business in all three of their matches tomorrow. They are pretty sizable favorites in all three contest and are implied for the highest amount of kills of all squads. I think getting four G2 players in your main lineup makes the most sense since they are implied for the highest amount of kills and have the highest odds to win all three matches.
- The next team I would look to target is SN. Besides their matchup vs. G2 they are favored in both their matchup vs. TL and MCX. I do believe that the matchup vs. TL could be very close and could easily be won by TL. I will target SN to pair with G2 in my main lineup, but will definitely look TL’s way for my main GPP lineup. I think the winner of the TL/SN game, paired with G2 will end up being optimal.
- MCX, though they could upset one of these squads, I do not see having much of an impact in these contest. I would expect G2, SN and TL to run through them pretty easily. They are an easy fade for me, but if you want to take a little bit of a risk, you could pair them with one of the other squads and pray they knock off someone like G2. If they are somehow able to beat G2 they will score pretty well, but that is a tall task for them.
- One more strategy you could take today, is to fade G2 and play SN and TL together. TL have already beat G2, so we know that they can accomplish that. I do not see them beating G2 again, but if they are able to knock off G2 then I would expect the SN/TL combo to be optimal. Many ways you could go tonight, but I believe the most optimal way to go is to play G2 and SN together in your main lineup.
