Slate Thoughts:
FPX is really struggling right now. They are coming into this matchup vs. LGD off of two straight losses, a sweep vs. IG and defeated in 3 games vs. BLG. They look all out of sorts, and bad enough that they are going to be making a roster change tonight. It appears that Nuguri will be riding the pine tonight, and in steps xiaolaohu. This lane cannot get much worse than what Nuguri was putting out night in and night out, but boy does xiaolaohu have his hands full with a player in fearness who has been one of the better top laners in the LPL so far this split. I think with FPX really struggling here, that LGD are going to be able to take it to them. I believe FPX will struggle in the top lane and expect to see Tian continue to struggle. I think FPX will be pretty popular on this slate, and I believe they are a fine play in tournaments, but I am picking LGD in this one. I love xiye, Fearness and Shad0w here.
The other LPL series tonight, projects to be a very good matchup between OMG and Suning. I narrowly expect Suning to win this series, and expect it to go to three games. However, OMG have shown that they are a talented squad and are definitely live in this series. I expect this matchup to be lower in kills than the FPX/LGD series, but there should still be much higher kill totals in this series than those of the LCK. Both of these teams are ranked right beside each other across all statistical categories. I side with Suning here, but I will be getting exposure to both squads here tonight. If building with SN, look to Bin and Huanfeng; and if building with OMG look to Creme and Able.
When it comes to the LCK series, I really have no interest in rostering any of those teams. I expect both series to be low kill totals and both of them are virtually toss ups for me. If I were to have to make a decision and play one, I would play Afreeca due to them being one of the lowest priced teams on the slate, and they have a very solid chance to win this series vs. a decent LSB team. I actually like AF to sweep this series.
My predictions for tonight are as follows:
LGD win 2-1; SN win 2-1; Gen win 2-1; AF win 2-0
