Slate Thoughts:
Tonight looks like a fairly poor slate for cash games, but a very interesting one for gpp’s. We have a banger of a match to close out the slate with a series between RNG and TES, which will surely bring us tons of kills. However, in cash games today I think the number one team you will want to plug in is GEN. They come into their matchup vs. BRO as -600 favorites and are projected for a decent kill total of 15. Fredit Brion are not totally dead here, but I do feel like it is an extreme long shot for them to pull off this upset. GEN is much better across the board in all categories. The only thing that they fall be low BRO in is Drake rate. Look for GEN to take this series via a sweep. Ruler would be my number one guy from this GEN team.
The series I am looking most forward too is the TES/RNG matchup. Both of these teams will be battling to win the LPL this summer, and both have extremely talented teams to do so. RNG come in with extremely low price tags on Draftkings, making them that much more interesting for me tonight. I fully believe that RNG have a more talented team top to bottom than this TES team, particulary in the TOP Lane. I really like Xiaohu in this matchup vs. Qingtian, who is one of the worst top laners in the LPL. Both of these teams rank in the top 6 in kills, and can put up some impressive numbers. Look for this series to produce fireworks, and for RNG to be on the positive side of things at the conclusion.
T1 is the last team I will touch on here. They are playing KT Rolster who have beat a very tealented Damwon Kia team. They are very much live in this matchup tonight, and if they pull off the upset they almost certain will be optimal. However, I believe that T1 will be able to do enough here and win this series. T1 is really expensive, which will keep their ownership down. I don’t mind getting pieces of T1 in tournaments, but if I was targeting them I would stick to them being my short build, with their team spot being a priority. If you are rostering teams like BLG and RNG tonight, you should have more than enough room to get some exposure to T1, I just wouldnt go crazy with my T1 exposure tonight.
My predictions for tonight are as follows:
T1 win 2-1; GEN win 2-0; RNG win 2-1; WE win 2-1
