Slate Thoughts:
This slate has two heavy favorites that will probably garner most of the ownership in cash games, and those two teams are Damwon Kia and JDG. JDG come in as -2000 favorites vs. a very poor v5 squad. JD Gaming are projected for the most kills on this slate, which is no surprise as V5 are in the top 4 in the LPL in deaths per game. JD Gaming rank in the top 4 in the LPL in kills per game as well. I do not see them dropping a game to this V5 squad, and fully expect them to win via a sweep.
Damwon Kia come into this game as -1200 favorites vs. a very poor BRO squad. DK have the 3rd highest projected kill total on the slate, so the upside here is not very high. I think they are a viable cash target tonight, but I would probably stay way from them in gpp’s. I would rather look to that other LPL matchup between FPX and WE for my secondary cash stack. One thing to remember about DK is that Draftkings has yet to change Canyon’s and Showmakers positions. I fully expect them to stick with their lineup they have had over their last two contest, meaning you will not want to play Ghost because he will be benched once again. However, I can not guarantee this, due to the LCK always being really late with posting lineups. Their is some risk involved, due to this reason, in rostering DK.
WE is an underdog tonight that I feel can pull off the upset. They will be taking on a very talented FPX team that just does not look to be clicking quite yet. WE has impressed so far throughout the early stages of the summer split, and look like a team that could be a legit contender down the stretch. Both FPX and WE are averaging tons of deaths in their losses, while averaging a solid number of kills in their wins. I will still get some exposure to FPX tonight, but most of my ownership in this matchup will be on the side of Team WE. Look for Elk, Mole and Breathe to show out tonight, and post some very solid numbers.
