Slate Thoughts:
This slate has three heavy favorites who can all be considered for cash games. My top team tonight is FPX. FPX come in as -2000 favorites vs. Thundertalk Gaming, and also come with the highest projected kill total for any team on the slate. I expect FPX to make quick work of ThunderTalk tonight and pick up the sweep bonus. TT average the second most deaths per game in the LPL, which sets up FPX with huge ceilings tonight. I will look to build around Doinb, Lwx and Tian.
With FPX being my top team tonight, it will be between EDG and RA on who will be the team I pair with FPX in my main lineup. EDG come in to their matchup vs. Rogue Warriors as the heaviest favorites on the slate. EDG are -3300 favorites tonight, and are expected to breeze through this matchup. RA are also huge favorites and actually come in with more affordable prices than EDG. With RA being slightly more affordable than EDG, it allows for better roster construction. With that I will be looking at a FPX/RA stack for my main lineup and getting my exposure to EDG in tournaments. All three are very good options and all three can be used in all formats tonight.
A team that I have a good amount of interest in tonight is Damwon Kia. They made a pretty significant roster change in their last matchup, moving Showmaker to ADC and Canyon to MID. With these roster moves it moved Ghost to the bench and allowed them to promote Malrang to the JNG position. Draftkings has not switched their positions yet, and it is still to be seen if they stick with that same lineup tonight. I do expect them to stick with it. Rostering these guys with the expectation they will stick with the same lineup they had in their last matchup will be somewhat risky because we will not have this confirmation before lock. That makes me even more interested in rostering them in tournaments. My top plays from Damwon Kia are obviously Showmaker and Canyon.
