Slate Thoughts:
GenG are one of the heaviest favorites on this slate, and are tied with IG for the highest implied kill total. They are one of the most, if not the most, consistent teams in the LCK and should be able to put AF away fairly easy. GenG are 3rd in the LCK in Kills/gm while AF are 2nd in the LCK in Deaths/gm. GenG also rank higher in GPM, GD@15min, DRA %, HER% and FB%. GenG also have one of the best early game ratings in the LCK, and while AF are not bad in the early game, they are really bad in the late game. I expect a GenG sweep here, but would not be surprised if they ended up going to the 3rd game, because, well this split has been nuts so far in both the LCK and LPL.
Next I want to touch on IG. IG are always capable of just exploding for HUGE kill totals on any slate. Tonight they will be taking on SN, who they are favored to beat. IG rank higher than SN in FB%, DRA%, GPM and GD@15 min. On paper, they should be able to win this series, and coming off of a big win vs. EDG they should be playing with some confidence. However, I have been burned many times playing IG off of a big win, only for them to go out and look absolutely pathetic and get swept. I do believe that Sunning are live dogs here, and very well could pull off the upset. With the amount of deaths that IG rack up in losses, SN could lead you to the top of the leaderboard if they were to pull this off tonight. I will have some exposure to both here, with most of my exposure to IG.
When looking for another team to stack with GenG in cash I probably lean RA, though I am considering IG as well. RA are the heaviest favorites on the slate, sitting at -800 favorites vs. OMG. OMG have been soooo bad this split, and I do not expect much to change tonight. Even though RA are heavy favorites, there is not much to get excited about when rostering them. They are… meh…average. However, they are playing a team that has looked all sorts of bad this split and they should be able to pull out a win in this series. I do not expect this to be sweep in RA’s favor, I do expect this to be a 3 game series. If you want to take a shot on OMG, I wouldn’t call your crazy…. well maybe I would. Gun to head, I would roll with RA as my secondary cash stack tonight and they would be my 3 man stack with their team spot being one of the rostered positions. I do believe they present enough upside vs. the worst team in the LPL to play in GPP’s.
