Slate Thoughts:
- Finally we have a full slate of action back tonight! We have some top teams playing tonight in JDG, GenG and Damwon Gaming! I think this makes for a very interesting slate for cash games and tournaments as there are many teams viable for cash and multiple viable for tournaments. The first team I will be building my main lineup around are Damwon Gaming and the GOAT himself, ShowMaker. Damwon are facing Team Dynamics and are heavy favorites in this match-up. Damwon lead Dynamics in gold differential @15 minutes, DRA%, HER% and also GPM. I expect Damwon to sweep Dynamics in this series, and are the safest team on the slate. ShowMaker should be the main one you build around in Damwon lineups followed by Nuguri and Ghost.
- GenG and JDG present an interesting decision tonight, as far as who you pair with DWG in cash. Right now I I side with JDG, due to their projected kills, and the fact that they are top 4 in the LPL in kills per win. I feel that both squads present similar floors, but JDG present a higher ceiling. I will side with the team that gives me the higher ceiling. Some may think VG keeps this close due to their recent success, but I am not one of those. I expect JDG to sweep VG and at the end of the night they will be the highest scoring stacks. Kanavi, LokeN and Zoom will be the guys I look to get the most exposure to from JDG.
- GenG have had a pretty good summer split, only dropping series to DRX and T1. They continue to prove that they are one of the best squads in the LCK. They have also proven that they can produce ceiling games that rival that of LPL squads. AF rank in the middle of the LCK in deaths per loss, so GenG does have a chance to reach their ceiling. I will definitely get exposure to GenG in tournaments due to their ability to reach that ceiling. GenG rate higher than AF in GPM, gold differential @15 minutes, kills per game, DRA% and HER%. GenG overall are a much more complete squad, and should not have to much of an issue with AF.
- ES and OMG should be an interesting and bloody match as ES projected for the second most kills tonight falling only behind JDG. ES are starting Rat tonight over Wink. I’m not real sure whats up here, but I would stay clear of Rat if you are looking to stack ES. I think he is a sub risk. I think ES have a really good chance to win this series tonight, even with Wink not starting. ES and OMG rank very similar to one another in all key metrics. I expect this to be one of the more bloody series of the night. I will go with a 2-1 Estar win here, but plan on having exposure to both squads. Estar stacked with Damwon make for an intriguing stack, with Estar being my 4 stack!
