Slate Thoughts:
The two big favorites in FPX and HLE are going to be the main focus for cash games tonight. ES are a shell of their spring team and have not looked to good to start this split. FPX are extremely strong in all phases of the game whether that is early game or late. FPX rank 4th in the LPL in Kill per game while ES are only die 12.5 times per game. I still believe that FPX come with enough upside to be used in tournaments.
The other team that makes a ton of sense in cash games tonight is HLE. HLE are off to a surprisingly good start to the split with a 3-1 record with their only series loss coming to T1. They will be facing off against Fredit BRION tonight, a team that has been, well lets just say bad this year. In this series we have one team, HLE, who lead the league in kills/gm and also have a team, Fredit BRION, who lead the league in deaths/gm. HLE are led by Chovy and Deft, both of which are having very strong starts to their season so far. Chovy actually ranks near the top of all LCK mids in multiple categories, and is by far my top option from this HLE team. I have played around with a few builds of FPX and HLE and due to their price it will limit you, so choosing the right team will be important tonight. As of this second, I am leaning towards HLE in cash games and making FPX my priority in my main GPP.
IG will be taking on RW tonight, and with that are implied for the highest kill total on the slate. They are also sitting at -600 favorites in this matchup. IG are one of the most frustrating teams in the LPL. They tend to beat the teams they shouldn’t and find a way to get destroyed vs. teams they should beat handedly. However, they have looked fairly good this split, and should find success in this matchup tonight. IG average around 19 kills in their wins, while RW average nearly 19 deaths in their losses. This sets up to be quite bloody, and makes IG a very good target as a secondary stack in cash games. I not only like them as a possible secondary stack in cash games, but a primary stack in tournaments with either FPX or going with the underdogs Gen G who I think pull out the upset vs. DWG.
