Slate Thoughts:
The first thing that immediately stands out to me when I look at this slate is that all of the teams playing tonight are live. With this being such a wide open slate, I believe it is a great GPP slate, and a pretty bad cash slate. I will be dialing back my cash games tonight and focus on playing multiple GPP’s. With that said, in my main line I will start my build with EDG. They are facing JDG who looked good vs. BLG but horrible vs. IG. JDG also average the most deaths per loss in the LPL giving EDG an even higher ceiling. EDG come into this matchup as underdogs and are very affordable on tonight’s slate. I love Viper, Scout and JieJie in this series. JieJie/Kanavi should be fun!
Another team I am projecting to pull off the upset tonight is BLG. Both of these teams die a ton in losses, and are definitely willing to mix things up. Meteor is my guy, and I think he has a big series tonight. I may be in the minority tonight with a BLG/EDG main lineup, but that is where I am leaning. Like I said, there is no sure fire way to go tonight in cash, and I will be rolling with two teams that I believe can finish each of their series with massive kill totals. BLG does seem to be gaining some traction in the industry, making RA a good team to target at low ownership with massive upside in Gpp’s. Again, I do like BLG here, and though I do think they will see some ownership, I believe the pairing with EDG will be pretty contrarian, and I am not concerned about leaving salary on the table tonight.
HLE and DRX are teams you can target in GPP’s as well, as I expect a lot of focus will be on these LPL matchups, leaving both of these teams lower owned.
