Slate Thoughts:
G2 and FNC are my top two teams to target on this slate, as both come in to each of their series as big favorites and carry the highest projected kill totals. G2 has an extremely talented squad, and even with the loss of Perkz they should not skip a beat with Rekkles taking over at ADC. G2 love to fight, and usually carry the highest upside on any slate they are on. G2 is going to be my main team I target for my main lineup.
FNC is another squad that has talent top to bottom. They are also projected for a high kill total, and should have no problem taking care of MSF. FNC are a team that have tremendous upside, but at times we watched them lose games they had no reason losing last year. They lost Rekkles and Nemesis so they will be looking for answers with their new ADC and MID. I expect the overall talent will win out here, and FNC will produce a high kill game, however they do come with slightly more risk then G2. FNC is the team I will be targeting in my main GPP line.
S04 are a team we rode down the stretch last year, as they were the hottest team in the entire league. They won their last 7 games to qualify for the playoffs. Gilius, Abbeddagge and Neon return to the team this year with new additions BrokenBlade and Limit. They are a very talented team, and look poised to have a really solid season. Abbeddagge and Neon showed huge upside in a few games last year, and S04 finished as the highest scoring team quite often in their 7-game winning streak. I love targeting S04 in tournaments, and believe they come with big upside, in a game they should win rather convincingly. I could even see myself getting to S04 in cash games, paired with G2.
